Beautiful and very peaceful property that is perfect for a disconnecting getaway. Deer, rabbits, ground hogs and cats said hello from time to time on our visit. Would highly recommend!

If you are looking for peace for your soul and time away to refocus and regenerate then this is the place!! You are off the grid (no cell service or minimal and no TV) but it's amazing how you soon forget all that and learn how to really relax and enjoy the moment you are in!

We had an amazingly peaceful and rejuvenating stay. Our host greeted us upon arrival and then otherwise afforded us our privacy. The property and apartment are wonderfully beautiful and thought out from the view and pond to the soaking tub and reading material. There were even mandala coloring supplies! My only wish was that we could’ve stayed longer. We will certainly return to “the sanctuary.”

The property is absolutely amazing. Pictures do not do the view justice. It's was the most relaxing stay I've had on VRBO. It is off grid so there is no Internet (except for emergencies) but that is exactly what it needed. I will definitely be going back.

I give this VRBO a two thumbs up! It’s located on a country road but within 10 minutes from town. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. Our host was friendly and available with great advise for restaurants and sightseeing options. 👍👍

My husband and I had an amazing experience staying here. We felt the love and caring. The backyard has a spectacular view. You would not regret. We definitely would not coming back!

This stay was just what I needed. Away from everything. The bullfrogs serenaded me my first night. This property is truly a slice of heaven and a foretaste of what's to come.

I enjoyed every moment. It is an adorable place with stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property was clean and neat. I am picky so when I say that, I mean it. I love quiet places as well and it was peaceful and relaxing. I truly loved Sanctuary and felt so blessed! Christine answered any questions we had very quickly and was very friendly. The town of Forest nearby offers many options for dining. Trails are nearby as well. I am an ultra runner, so having options for trails was perfect. Thank you, Christine!
