Approach the cottage down a walkway along a stone wall with accent lighting at night & water feature
Outside patio with gas grill, fire pit, and seating to relax under the oak tree and take in scenery.
This is the main living area, all well equipped and nicely furnished for your comfort and enjoyment.
View into the dining area with antique table and seating for four. Lots of windows to view wildlife!

Leather living room furniture and entertainment center with a large variety of DVDs, games and toys.
The living room is a great place to relax and unwind; watch a movie, read a book, play a board game.
Bathroom with a shower and all towels, paper products, soap/shampoo/condition-er, provided for you.
A work station, futon sofa (can convert to double bed) and recliner at the top of the spiral stairs.
Upstairs includes the sitting area (or convert to extra bed) with a large book shelf dividing rooms.
Queen bed on the far side of the upstairs with fresh linens and plenty of extra bedding and pillows.
View back toward the spiral stairs.  There is ample closet/drawer space in the handmade cabinetry.
Relax and unwind in the hot tub on the deck, which offers magnificent views.
One acre spring-fed pond offers canoeing, kayaking, fishing, or  relax in the hammock by waterfall.
An Old Towne Canoe and 2 kayaks along with life vests are available for your use to enjoy the pond.
Enjoy viewing and listening to a large variety of wildlife which visit too!  Canada Geese on island.
The tree house and slide provide more fun to experience during your visit.

Dancing Bears Guest Cottage is located on 100 acres on a knoll with lovely views near Jump Mountain in beautiful Rockbridge County, between Lexington and Staunton, VA. Slow down and enjoy the ultimate relaxation in this secluded, picturesque area. The custom timber frame craftsmanship of the cottage is truly amazing. Downstairs you will find the main living area with an open living and dining area, a well appointed kitchen and the bathroom with shower. Up the spiral stairs is a work station with a sitting area including a futon which converts to a double bed. Just behind the 4 foot square bookshelf is a sleeping area with a queen bed.

Dancing bears cottage was absolutely beautiful/relaxing/wildlife amazing. The owner was wonderful and we hope to return again in the future.
