Beautiful, historic home perfect for large gatherings!
Recently, I had the pleasure of a week long stay at Church Hill with several friends and their families. At times during our stay, there were 18 people in the home, yet it always felt comfortable and accommodating. The dining room was quite large with ample room to sit and share meals and memories. The sun room provides fabulous views of the rolling hills and wildlife. The home and property are beautiful and rich with history, including the historical monument in the wayside that describes the property as the birthplace of Sam Houston. For a home built in the mid-1800's, the owners have paid careful attention to maintain that historical detail while also including the modern amenities we all take for granted - like air conditioning, WiFi, satellite / cable TV, a dishwasher, etc. The grounds are meticulously maintained and provide for excellent outdoor enjoyment - there's a huge fire pit, cornhole boards, a giant field perfectly suited for an exhilarating afternoon game of football...!! The location was a perfect meeting place for our group since people were travelling from many different directions (NC, SC, MD, VA). I highly recommend it and we'll certainly be returning!

Beautiful and spacious (inside & out)!
Large beautiful historic house that has been updated with all the modern conveniences. Very clean and well kept. Tons of space to spread out and relax. Beautiful views of green fields. More outdoor space than you could possibly need. Conveniently located just outside of Lexington so it's a short drive to restaurants. Close to the mountains. Easy to get to from the Interstate. Hosts are super friendly. It was an all-round great experience!
