Villa Miguel Angel is located in a quiet residential street on the outskirts of Cala D'Or just a five minute walk from the nearest supermarket, restaurants and cafes. The heart of this popular family friendly resort, the pedestrian area that offers a wide variety of restaurants, cafeterias, shops, cocktail bars and pubs with live music is quite literally less than a 10 minute walk away, with the fabulous beach only a couple of minutes further. Villa Miguel Angel will prove to be extremely popular with young families, or couples who would like to enjoy a relaxing holiday without the need to rent a car.
Due to local energy saving initiatives, Air conditioning is available and timer controlled for use overnight and during mid-day peak heat hours.

Overpriced, infested and not as advertised
Villa was cockroach infested, air con in the lounge was broken and wouldn't be fixed until after our stay, the pool wasn't cleaned and the light in the pool would randomly float out of it's housing and into the pool, the lock on the gate broke and my husband had to climb over a 7ft spiky fence into a spiky garden to get entry. There were people there several times a day to fix things. Very over priced, maintained on the cheap, they had put in a shower curtain instead of a shower screen, it was too short to reach the bath so the bathroom flooded when you used the shower. If you didn't leave the windows open the upstairs smelled really bad.

The Worst Villa I've Ever Stayed In.
Cockroaches in the villa. The air conditioning in the living room didn't work. The bracket in the main bedroom shower was broken. The main bathroom shower had a comedically short shower curtain so water flooded the bathroom, and the hose would gradually fall towards pointing the hose out towards the floor. The protective blinds poolside were covered in green moss when you lowered them. They had clearly not been cleaned in months. When we arrived at the villa, delayed and late on a Saturday night at around 11pm after a long drive, we found no drinking water in the fridge. The light on the swimming pool was broken, it was full of leaves. At no point was the pool cleaned. We had to do it ourselves. The handyman came almost daily, fixing the shower bracket, bringing a fan for the living room and some cockroach poison which we had to spread around the house. None of the really major issues like the lack of aircon, despite it being advertised with aircon in the living room, were resolved. Even really simple things like the front door and main bedroom door didn't open properly, so previous occupiers have smashed the front door handle into the wall. The main door into the property has a dodgy lock. One night I had to scale the 8 feet fence to get in where it jammed. Everything here is broken. The pictures are quite ingenius as the villa is semi-detached at the back and completely overlooked on the side. It is more like being in an apartment block. The information pack gives the wrong Wifi address, no clue as to where the washing machine and dryer is (hidden away on the 1st floor balcony!!!) This place cost us £4k for 7 days. It was an absolute rip off. I could go on and on as to how bad this place truly was. It is worth £1500 absolute tops and its so filthy nobody would want to stay in it.

Do not even consider booking this hovel
Just home from 7 nights staying in this unsafe hovel of a property. This was a much needed, quiet, girls family holiday, booked via Jet 2 (Solmar Villas) and we have been appalled by the villa.
The dishwasher was broken and so we have washed up all week. All of the curtains are either too small, ripped or hanging from broken curtain poles. The pool lights were broken resulting in them coming in and off erratically all night. The whole place felt dirty and smelled musty. All of the sun loungers were damaged.
We have returned home covered in bites that we strongly suspect are bed bugs. My mother is having to go to out of hours GP as pharmacist has advised they are infected.
There is no manual with basic instructions (TV/ lights/ bins).
On the second night of our stay, the chest of drawers in my room came off the wall and landed on me - the result is a swollen and bruised leg. Thank goodness we did not have children with us. Picture of said leg attached.
I have never before written a review but this place is unhygienic and unsafe.
Unsatisfactory response from Jet2. The handy man came out on the Wednesday and some minor issues were addressed, and sun loungers replaced. The dishwasher and TV were never fixed and the damage to my leg was done.
If you have booked and cannot back out, I strongly advise that you ask for the mattresses to be replaced - we are all covered, head to toe, in bites.
Cala D’Or is lovely. Avoid this property, Jet2 Villas and Solmar Villas at all costs.
**As an aside, the neighbouring properties have dogs that bark loudly and continuously. Not ideal when trying to relax.

Tired
Just back from this tired, poorly maintained property. It's in a great spot and that is the only thing in its favour. I fail to understand why villa information is no longer available on site. Trees need attention so that the pool can warm up.
