About the neighbourhood
Why the heck did we pick Moab as our second home? We both employed in the environmental field and our vacations are centered around enjoying the great outdoors. When we came to Moab the first time, we felt that we had truly come home. No matter what activities we wanted to do, it seemed that Moab and the surrounding areas provided us with the opportunity. Every year, we try to experience something more about Moab, the National Parks, Utah State Parks, and the other parks and attractions within driving distance (such as the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, and Santa Fe). So, we bought this property to have a location in the heart of what we believe is Americas greatest attraction of all. This specific condo appealed to us because of its location and the views from almost every room. The skyl... more
Getting around
A car is required when you are visiting Moab. You can drive a car to many trail heads and where you begin hiking. A truck is better because you can get a little further off-road with it. A jeep, ATV, or mountain bike are what most people use to enjoy Moab.

There are actually several ways to get to The Road to Moab. If arriving by plane, you have several options - Grand Junction about 2 hours away; Salt Lake City (SLC) about 3.5 hours; and Denver about 4.5 hours. Our regional airport offers shuttles from SLC, as well. Flying into Albuquerque, Las Vegas or Phoenix and making the drive is also an option.
The drive through the Wasatch Mountains from SLC is beautiful. If you are coming by way of Denver, then you should stop by the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction. It is truly awe-inspiring!
We highly recommend a stop at Mesa Verde, CO, whether you do it on your drive in from Albuquerque or if you make a side trip during your stay with us in Moab. Heck, it is only 2.5 hours away from our condo and it has some of the most well...
