We liked the property and were very thankful for all the owner did to make us feel at home. Was a little difficult getting up to house in my Honda, but once there just parked on the side and used our other truck.
The house was nice, although there was a lot of flies inside upon arrival. My son and I swatted as many as we could before my wife found out, and there must've been 300 dead flies. Still don't know where they came from, but we looked. Also, one of the wind chimes had a hole in it and bees made a nest in it, so upon our arrival we were all bit by bees as we brought our stuff inside. Tried to kill the nest, not sure if we were successful.
Overall, the insect problems were overlooked as we enjoyed the amenities of the house and its surroundings. Was about 15-20 minutes to downtown Asheville, and place is central to many outdoor activities. Dogs loved the place, with their ability to go in and out through the door and the use of the entire fenced yard.
