Location, location and character! This pre-Civil War loft with soaring 12-foot ceilings is located on Broad Street in the Waterfront, steps from the Greenway and within walking distance of Boston's top attractions. It features all the luxury of a high end home; chef's kitchen, wood floors, central A/C; but retains the character of the historical building. This professionally designed home has all the amenities of a boutique hotel, fully stocked with everything you need for an exceptional stay. This second floor industrial loft unit, serviced by an elevator, features architectural details like beamed ceilings and a brick wall from the original, 160-year old warehouse. There is a living room, complete with 50-inch UHD 4K TV, dining area with suspended table, bathroom with tub/shower, king bedroom with 65-inch UHD 4K TV, full-size washer and dryer and fully-stocked kitchen with coffee and tea station - everything you need for an exceptional stay. With so many restaurants and shops nearby, you can truly live like a local and experience the history of Boston just by walking around (Walk Score of 97!). Bring your whole family (sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 kids), go for a stroll along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, and walk to the most popular activities in Boston: * Waterfront, Rose Kennedy Greenway (less than 1 minute walk) * Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Old State House (5 min.) * New England Aquarium, HarborWalk (5 min.) * North End, Public Market, Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum (10 min.) * Boston Children’s Museum (11 min.) * Freedom Trail, Paul Revere House, Theater District (12 min.) * Boston Commons, Boston Public Garden (17 min.) * TD Garden (Celtics/Bruins) (19 min.) * Newbury Street shopping (24 min.) * Seaport, Blue Hills Bank Pavilion, Convention Center (26 min.) * Museum of Science (28 min.) * Copley Square, Trinity Church, Prudential Square shopping (30 min.) * USS Constitution & Museum, Bunker Hill Monument (32 min.) When you’re ready to relax, binge watch your favorite shows and movies from the bedroom home theater (65-inch 4K UHD TV, Bose audio, and streaming Apple TV with Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Showtime…). Enjoy free high-speed (60 Mbps) Wi-Fi, listen to your favorite Sirius XM channels on the Amazon Echo speakers or play relaxing sounds as you curl up in the luxury bedding. Plush towels and robes are also provided. If you’d like to be pampered, make an appointment at the acclaimed Le Visage Spa, located next door. The BRIX Wine Shop, your neighbor below, has complimentary wine, beer and spirits tasting events twice a week. In the other end of the building is the Broadside Tavern, a modern Irish pub, where you can watch the game or play darts. Use the menu book provided to choose among favorite restaurants or walk to the new Roche Brothers grocery store (10 min.) if you'd like to cook in the fully-equipped chef’s kitchen (granite counters, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal, gas range). For $10 you can have all your groceries delivered within the hour. History: In 1857, a Boston merchant built the 5-story granite and brick building to be used as a warehouse to store merchandise acquired in overseas trade. Over the years, the building was home to, among many others, J. Gibson & Son Liquor Distributors, Pray & Hayes Grocers, Richards Publishing Co., Dexter Bros. Paints and Howe & French, Inc., dealers in chemicals, laboratory supplies, waxes and drugs. In 1872, the building was miraculously spared during the Great Fire of Boston when 776 buildings in Boston were destroyed. The building was converted into Broadluxe in 2008, a 42-unit luxury loft community. House Rules: No smoking. No parties or events. Must be 25 years old to rent (government-issued ID required). About the neighbourhood
Surrounded by the Greenway, Boston Harbor, Faneuil Hall, North End and Financial District neighborhoods, the Waterfront is known for being a safe place to live, boasting one of the lowest crime rates in the Boston area. The thriving community; consisting of life long residents, young professionals, and families; come together to create a fun, active, and friendly place where people enjoy knowing their neighbors and taking advantage of the various restaurants, parks, and popular activities nearby. While most cities' financial districts shut down at night, Boston's stays busy even after work hours, with lots of restaurants and bars to enjoy nearby. This home is located near many of Boston's most iconic sites.
Getting around
Broadluxe Lofts are located steps from the Greenway, offering residents easy access to everything Boston has to offer. There's no need to have a car to get around. If you have a car, parking is plentiful with a parking garage one block west of the building at One Post Office Square ($10 all day weekend parking) and 10 other garages within a quarter-mile radius. There is a cab stand in front of the Hilton hotel next door. The closest MBTA subway station is Aquarium (Blue line), just a 3-minute walk away. Being in the heart of downtown Boston, all other subway lines are less than a 10-minute walk away as well: Orange line (State Street, 6 minutes or Downtown Crossing, 9 minutes), Green Line (Government Center, 9 minutes)
