This was a wonderful and secluded place to stay. The property had the basics that we needed. Our group had a great time during our weekend stay.

Awesome get away!

Overall had a nice time. Internet and cell service was non existent. That made it tough to stream anything. The exterior lighting was very poor. Made things difficult when making trips to the vehicles. Also the front porch/stairs was not cleared of ice. It was hazardous lugging our belongings inside.

I knew as soon as we arrived that no one had been in the home for quite a while as the leaves were piled high in the door way. It was so musty that we opened windows and lit some candles to help with the smell. There were 100 dead bugs and flies around the fireplace and windows. Needless to say the first thing we did was clean and air the place out! Not something we felt like doing after traveling and unloading the car. One of the things we looked forward to was sitting around the fireplace with the family...it worked fine for the first two days and then just died, I called the manager and he did answer right away but only to inform me that the fireplace was only a decoration! That was a great disappointment to everyone! The fire pit area outside was wonderful and we did sit out there one evening. The yard, property and surrounding woods were beautiful, we hiked every morning. This is an old house, slanting floors, old stinky rug...rusted heating registers, when we walked across the kitchen floor the oven changed temperature 😏? The beds are the cheapest mattresses you can imagine...everyone’s back hurt! It’s really a shame with alittle TLC this place could be awesome. We left the home much cleaner and smelling better than when we arrived! It fell far short of what we expected and what we paid. It could be a gem!

Very nice home for our weekend together. Plan to return next year. We were disappointed that wifi didn't work to watch football game. Owner did try to correct the issue. Thank you

The house was not well maintained, and we won’t be back. About 40% of the light bulbs were burnt out, there were sharp tacks sticking out from the edge of the carpet, the floors were uneven, the kitchen faucet handle was broken, and even the only manual can opener didn’t work! Many of these issues (light bulbs, kitchen faucet) had been mentioned in a prior review so I assumed they would have been fixed before our visit. I was wrong. After our first night there when the lack of lighting was a real bother (especially with young children), I emailed the owner, who was very quick to respond. I mentioned the light bulbs and carpet tacks, but his solution was to leave two lamps and a hammer at the front door while we were away (despite our leaving the key in the key box per his request). Also, we first arrived after dark, and the house was extremely difficult to find (no marked address, and no instructions that we had to take a gravel road off to the right side after turning into where GPS showed us the house should be). There so no cell phone service and the WiFi is spotty. The area and trees surrounding the house were very picturesque, and it was conveniently located near Nemacolin resort and Falling Water. It was a nice size, with a large deck and an attractive exterior. With better maintenance, the house could be much improved.

The location is nice tucked off a back road parallel to 40. The AC was off when we arrived and it took several hours to get the inside temp down to a comfortable level. It would have been helpful if the owners turned that on maybe in the morning. The freezer was ok. The fridge was very low to off on cool. It took us several hours to figure out how to turn that on, and to wait for it to drop. Again, if the owners did this in the AM on check in day we would have been good. The fire pitt was great. plenty of room for our group of 8 people. The gas grille works, but it is old and the bottom of the grille is caked with old charcoal grease. We cooked burgers twice and each time the grille had dangerous flames that both cooked the meat way too fast and caused us to singe the hair on our arms trying to get the job done. The grill should be replaced with a newer one that is anti flame. The kitchen was adequate. The flooring is loose and should be replaced. The lights in some of the bedrooms did not work at all and should be replaced. Overall this place met our needs and did the job. The location is several miles from Ohiopyle and Uniontown so you have many options here. The creek was about 3 inches deep and no sign of fish.

Close enough to Ohiopyle but out in the country with lots of open space. Great fire pit and large yards for kids to play in. The home was clean on the inside. Kitchen was adequately stocked and plenty of towels in each bathroom. Having 5 bedrooms was a plus and a large open kitchen/dining/family room. The home could use a new outside table and sone cosmetic work but overall a nice home. Owner did reply to a few minor concerns and they were resolved without any issues. Would stay there there again if visiting that area. Our GPS took us in on a long one lane dirt road which you would almost need a high vehicle but we figured out how to avoid that road !

The cabin was adorable. We loved that they kept the cabin theme throughout with all the small details. The location was incredibly peaceful, which was another plus!

The lodge was set up perfectly for our extended family. One of my favorite parts was how quiet all the bedrooms were so you could go to bed early with the rest of the group still up in the great room. All the bathrooms were nice with good water pressure and the kitchen was perfectly supplied. We enjoyed the interesting taxidermy, too!
