Great cosy getaway
This is a lovely cosy accomodation for 2. I stayed here with a friend and it provided a great base for us to explore Atlanta and the surrounding area. The neighbourhood is quiet and there is good parking, Piedmont park is close as is the supermarket. I didn't really use the public transport so can't comment on this but it did feel like you needed a car to get around. The place itself is well furnished and clean, the bathroom is an adequate size with a powerful shower, and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and crockery. It even has a kettle which for me was a big plus as I am from the UK and love my tea! The bed was also comfy and the house is comfortably heated (I went in winter). Just a couple of suggestions- the A/C/ heating unit is battery powered, these batteries ran out during my stay and while I had some spares with me, if I hadn't the place would have been left cold so it may be worth supplying some spares and leaving a note about what to do if the batteries run out. Also it would be nice to have a separate bin for recycling, to make the place a bit more eco friendly (there is a recycling bin outside but it would be easier to separate indoors). There is also no dish rack for pans- a small plastic tray would suffice and could be stowed away when not in use. All in all we had a great time here and I would definitely recommend this area if you wanted to escape noisy downtown but I would say a car is needed to enjoy it fully.

Sweet and simple
My time at this Airbnb was very nice. The host is very kind and checks in on you but not an overbearing way,he mainly allowed us our space which I really liked. This is a one bedroom with an air mattress available if need be which wasn't uncomfortable. I really enjoyed the shower it has two heads and the outside space was like a mini Botanical Garden very beautiful. The only things Id say that I didn't like about it,was that the shower water would kind of puddles around your feet a little and 1 of the nights there was a dog barking in the housing room next door that woke me up but other than that my stay was excellent. There was water in the refrigerator that was available and coffee as an accommodation and the AC was excellent and there's even a porch area where you can sit outside if you're wanting to take in some nature. If I had to give this a rating it would most definitely be in 8 out of 10.

Cozy guest room
Ben's guest room just outside downtown Atlanta was the perfect spot for our stay, and so cozy! The location was perfect -- a short walk to nearby shops and restaurants, and proximity to at least two of the major bus lines into town. Once we parked at the house, we never had to drive again until our stay was over. I appreciated having all amenities with a private entrance, all separate from the main house. We had full privacy, and when I did encounter Ben while I was out on a walk he was friendly and asked how we were enjoying our stay. My partner and I both agree that this cozy guest room will be our first pick on return trips to the area.

Highland Delight
We had such a wonderful stay at Ben's home. The home is located on a quiet street with very little traffic. Surrounding the entrance to the home are beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubbery that make you feel like you are entering your own botanical garden. In just a short walk you can get to lots of different shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and parks. The home itself is perfect for one person or a couple. The bed was extremely comfortable and I will admit that I didn't get out it until 9:30 a.m. I felt like I was in college again! My favorite feature in the house however, is the shower. There are two shower heads, which makes for one exceptional shower experience. I highly recommend this gem and would gladly stay there again on my next visit to Atlanta.

A gem tucked away in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood.
This suite was the perfect substitute for a sterile hotel room. It has a tiny, but fully functional kitchen, complete with stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker and fridge. We used it only to prepare breakfast with supplies bought from Trader Joe's, which was only a few blocks away. The bedroom/sitting room was large enough for two people, and has a good-sized closet. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has a large two-person shower with great water pressure. One of our favorite features was the screened porch, which had a table, and seating for four people. It was a terrific spot for morning coffee, or an evening glass of wine. If you're looking for a quiet spot in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants and the beltline, this is the place for you!

Exceeded Expectations
My wife and I had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Great space in a fantastic neighborhood. We walked down to some restaurants for dinner one night. Beautiful homes! Fully loaded kitchen, great double shower, comfortable bed, nice screened in porch, I could go on and on. The owner is very hands off, which we liked, but some may like to chat and have more of a bed and breakfast atmosphere. This is not that kind of place. If I had to pick a con, the owner has big dogs and you can smell them when you first enter the suite. We don't have pets so we probably noticed it more but if you have pets then you may not even notice. Certainly not a deal breaker at all for us, but do know some readers may have allergies. Literally the only thing I can think of. In summary, it was an amazing experience! I can't say enough about the place and the neighborhood!

Quiet and charming
As a traveler who does not always fare well in the bright bustle of hotels, I treasured this little find that was minutes from everything I needed to do in Atlanta but had the feel of a small town. The yard was gorgeously landscaped and the old wood floors felt like home under my feet. A comfortable bed and quality linens completed the package. I also appreciated the absence of perfumed products in the linens, which don't always agree with me. The owner was very accommodating and just seemed like a nice guy all around.

About the neighbourhood
Virginia Highland is a most charming location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house is nestled in a special garden with hundreds of plants. Everything you need is in walking distance and public transit is 6 houses away. You can jog to Piedmont Park or walk to the center of Virginia Highland. We even have a Trader Joe's. The house is located on a dead end and there is plenty of street parking. It is a very quiet safe area. You will hardly believe that you are in the city of Atlanta..
Getting around
Virginia-Highland (often nicknamed 'VaHi')[2] is an affluent neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, founded in the early 20th century as a streetcar suburb. It is named after the intersection of Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue, the heart of a busy commercial district at the center of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is famous for its bungalows and other historic houses from the 1910s to the 1930s. It has become a destination for people across Atlanta with its eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and shops and for the Summerfest festival, annual Tour of Homes and other events.
