Both villages have shops and good local pubs serving food, and the nearby market border town of Oswestry has other amenities. The location is perfect for a rural break for families and couples and ideal for walking, cycling, fishing, bird-watching or just relaxing and enjoying the views. An ideal picturesque base for visits to a wide variety of places of interest and beauty spots in the surrounding area.
Stay with us for your holiday and receive a warm welcome and relax and enjoy yourselves in comfortable surroundings.
We have just enjoyed a fantastic week at Belle Vue. The cottage is located in a quiet rural area, but as there is little traffic around, we could quickly visit towns such as Llangollen and Oswestry. However we did enjoy just sitting outside the local pub, watching the world go by and relaxing. It was great to return to the cottage after a day out and discover the jacuzzi and eat outside under the covered terrace looking at the beautiful views, whilst watching and listening to the wildlife. If we return to the area, we would definitely come back to Belle Vue, maybe bringing some old dvds with us as the internet connection was not always strong, but Jan and Rick’s welcome easily made up for that.

Lovely Private Secluded Break
We arrived late on the Friday and got lost. We rang for directions and Robert stood in the road with a torch to guide us in. Handover was great and contactless. The cottage was spotless and we had a really good break. We plan to be back soon. By the way the hot tub was fantastic, clean and really inviting. Such a relaxing weekend thank you

Lovely cottage
This was our second visit here and we would recommend it to anyone.
It's a beautiful, comfortable cottage in lovely surroundings and Jan & Rich keep it spotlessly clean.
There is lots to do within easy driving distance and after a busy day you can unwind in the hot tub.

Fantastic cottage, great location and lovely hosts
Myself, husband and dog have just stayed here for the last 3 nights and it was wonderful. The hosts Jan and Rich were so welcoming and friendly. The cottage was immaculate, very modern and cosy with all amenities, we didn't want for anything. The garden was fully enclosed and well kept and the decked area is well sheltered, enough that you can sit out while it's raining under the patio heater if you want and we left our muddy boots out all night and they were kept dry. The hot tub was fantastic and easy to use, sitting in it looking out over the countryside is wonderful! The cottage is between 2 villages so there is access to a couple of little shops and pubs. There are lots of places to walk and visit nearby. We would definately like to return in the future. Oh and they have a lovely friendly pony called Toby!

Perfect relaxing retreat
Wow! What can I say? My husband and I booked this cottage for our new year break. We wanted a cosy getaway that was almost in the middle of nowhere with stunning views and of course with the added luxury of a hot tub, and gosh golly did this exceed our expectations! We fell in love with the place straight away, and it was exactly what we needed.
Jan and Rich are extremely lovely and welcoming and it was lovely to have someone to talk you through the ins and outs of the cottage, rather than just relying on a booklet. The welcome basket was a fantastic touch too!
We had a lovely little treat of also meeting Toby the pony, which was a wonderful surprise, and we couldn't help going over to see him a few times each day.
This cottage is truly in a stunning setting with good country walks. There are 2 villages nearby, one 20 mins walk away and the other 30 mins, but it is worth noting that the pubs do not open until the evening and you do need to walk down country roads that aren't lit, so it's not ideal if you wish to walk to a pub on the evening, especially in the winter. This didn't bother us though, as we absolutely loved relaxing on the decking at the cottage with a glass of wine anyway :)
I honestly could not recommend this cottage enough, especially if you are looking for a complete getaway (and it truly is a getaway, as we struggled with phone signal - bliss!) We really hope we can return again for our next christmas/new year break.
Thank you so much again Jan and Rich!

Fantastic Cottage! We will be back
We stayed here upon recommendation and we weren't disappointed. We stayed for 3 nights but I wish we had stayed longer. Myself, Husband and 3 Year Old loved our stay. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted by Jan & Rich (owners) with complimentary homemade cakes and a bottle of fizz, we were very impressed. The Cottage is spotless and is equipped with everything you need. Every evening we spent BBQ'ing and relaxing in the Hot Tub with a Firepit ending the evening. Perfect. We did venture out in the day to Park Hall Farm -this is great for little ones and we went out to Lake Vyrnwy, another beautiful day out walking. There is so much more to do in the area we will be back next year. Thanks for your great hospitality Jan & Rich. x :)

Best value and great views
We have stayed here regularly as previously mentioned it feels very homely. We got the good weather this time and thoroughly enjoyed the new addition a hot tub very nice. The hot tub soothed our aches and pains after our long walks. Unfortunately our local the plough is currently closed but the green Inn as recommended was nice for a quick meal. Dogs had a great time really jealous of Jan and Richard living here all the time. They are great hosts very attentive and really enjoyed catching up. We hope all works out well for the future and look forward to seeing you both again soon. Thank you both for a lovely holiday

Compact Cottage with beautiful views.
We really enjoyed our short stay and wish we could have stayed longer.
The cottage was clean and well kept, a small kitchen area and the 2nd bedroom on the mezzanine. There are mainly tiled floors which was perfect as I am sensitive to house dust mites.
We travelled to Snowden which took about 80 min to get to.
There are a couple of small villages nearby with pubs and small shops but you need to drive to get to them.
It was very tranquil we sat out enjoying the view often.
There is hot tub which you can use for a very small fee, this was extremely relaxing and a lifesaver after our walk up Snowden.
The owners were very friendly, amiable and helpful.
I would recommend visiting Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall near by.
