With a south facing covered terrace there are stunning rooftop views, a fully fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting room with easy direct private access to public car parking. Downstairs there are two double bedrooms each with ensuite shower/toilet facilities including hairdryers

Fantastic place to stay
A massive thank you to Alun and Jenny for this amazing aoartment stay, through what was a very difficult time. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment, with every mod-con you could think of. A luxurious stay in an wonderful location.

Gem of an apartment in middle of Aubeterre
Situated overlooking Village square, with free parking outside the back door. The apartment is very well appointed with every convenience you need. The welcome pack is very generous. Alun/Jennie were always available to help with queries.would not hesitate to recommend. Only limitation is it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

An amazing find
Right in the centre of one of the prettiest villages in France and with direct access from a large free car park [so none of the usual parking problems].
This is a recently and very tastefully converted top floor apartment with a lovely covered balcony overlooking the village square and the countryside beyond .There are 2 very comfortable en suite bedrooms and a large well appointed living area.
Our hosts were charming and could not have been more helpful with nice touches like a welcome bottle of wine,and they are both English speakers.

A lovely apartment in a superb location in one of France's loveliest villages.
The view from the balcony overlooking the village has to be experienced, over the higgledy-piggledy rooftops towards the river valley, with the bustling square below. Access is direct from the main car park, and the square with its butcher, its baker, and several restaurants and bars just 5 minutes walk down the hill.
The apartment has been converted to a very high standard, with plenty of original timber and exposed stonework. The furnishings are a combination of new and antique, all done in very good taste. The all important beds, very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Really nothing to fault throughout.
This is a lovely place to stay in comfort in probably the best location in Aubeterre. We will be back!

Charme!!!!
Quel superbe séjour dans ce magnifique appartement qui allie si bien le charme de l’ancien et le confort moderne. La décoration est raffinée et la vue de la terrasse a enchanté nos soirée. Merci aussi pour votre charmant accueil.

Geweldig luxeappartement !
Fantastisch appartement, tot in de finesses verzorgd. Sfeervolle slaapkamers, mooie badkamers, geweldige keuken en mooie living. Kers op de taart is het intieme terras met een indrukwekkend uitzicht. Voldoende parkeerruimte. Een keuze van restaurants op steenworp afstand en ook het strand aan de rivier de Dronne is heel dichtbij. Zeer aan te bevelen !

About the neighbourhood
Aubeterre-sur-drone in the South Charente is one of France's designated most beautiful villages - there is the famous eglise monolith - (underground church Saint-Jean) carved out of the rock dating from XII century) many historic buildings and pretty streets, teaming with bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a riverside beach complete with bar (summer months only), kayak rentals. tennis courts, camp site. Local market every sunday morning, with other markets closeby
Getting around
Bordeaux and Bergerac airports about 1 hour away, Limoges and La Rochelle about 2 hours away. TGV train station at Angouleme and Bordeaux. The south Charente is quite rural so a car would be advisable to explore this beautiful and unspoilt corner of SW france.
