Cottage
Possibly the best part of your holiday here has nothing to do with the cottage. It will be the ease at which you will be able to turn off and forget the stresses of everyday life. This cottage is ideal for couples or those with a small family who love the countryside. It is spacious and benefits from air conditioning, a fully fitted kitchen, and wifi. Upstairs your King size bed has crisp Egyptian cotton linen and your large shower is just right after a hard days 'holidaying!! The village itself, is in the beautiful Sierra de Aracena and is definitely in 'rural Spain' with several family run bars and restaurants, all serving freshly prepared Spanish tapas and tasty meals. An ideal chance to brush up on your Spanish if you want, although the villagers are incredibly friendly and so willing to make you feel at home.. You will have a Flat screen TV, a DVD player, and loads of films as well as books, Cds and games. During your stay you can go and pick as many fresh seasonal vegetables as you wish from our large 'huerta'. In summer these include onions the size of bowling balls, the tastiest tomatoes ever, green and red peppers, zucchini, cucumbers and the list goes on...We provide a welcome pack including wine, beer, milk, homemade fresh bread, butter, orange juice, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade Seville orange marmalade, eggs from our girls and seasonal Spanish produce. If you come on a Sunday, or bank holiday, I am happy to do some shopping in advance for you. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: VTAR/HU/592More

If you have a love of the countryside this is a terrific area to visit. The walking isn't strenuous with only gradual ascents/descents; the area is criss-crossed with paths and tracks so you can make your walks short or long and invariably there's a welcoming...More

About the neighbourhood
Aracena is the nearest town - 7 km and is famous for the black jamon, which are reared locally. It also boasts the grutas or caves that were used in the Indiana Jones movie. There are many restaurants and tapas bars as well as local typical Spanish shops. The market is held on a Saturday and you can stock up on locally produced olives, ham and pate. In the summer, each village has its own fiesta which last 4 days each. They tend to be themed, such as the peach fiestas, the vegetable slaughter feria, the fiesta of the road, etc. They are both fun and real spain. Seville is 45 minutes away and is breathtaking in its architectural beauty, such as the Plaza de Espana, the gold tower, and loads of museums. The catherdral is the second largest in Europe and is spectacular. And the shopping.........
Getting around
Having a car is recommended to take full advantage of the stunning countryside and the local villages. There are buses too that run locally but the service is limited. As mentioned before, we often take guests into town, or to starting points for walks or picking you up after a hike.
