We try to make your holiday special and we are on hand, living in our house behind your house and we can help with the language, arranging tours and activities and with our local knowledge of the areas we can offer advice on walks, birdwatching, restaurants and places of interest.
For those who love to be out in nature, we have many walking books, maps, binoculars, walking poles and a cool box for picnics at the lake or in the hills. We are also happy to provide guided walks and act as a taxi if you want to take a trip and walk home for example.
Just had a week here with Mike and Fran. The accommodation has everything you need and is spotless, The welcome pack is ideal, with Frans homemade bread a firm favorite. The village is really lovely and quiet, though it has several welcoming bars and the locals are so friendly. Plenty to see and do whether by foot or by car. The scenery is just fantastic, making the walks a real pleasure. The hospitality given by Mike and Fran cannot be overstated, we arrived as guests and left as friends. We really do hope to return. Spanish village life at its best.

Fran's care for some nearby kitties , they both made us feel so welcome , a fantastic relaxing holiday , many thanks to Mike & Fran

La ubicación genuina, en el centro del pueblecito.
Casita rural con mucho encanto, cogedora, limpia y luminosa. La cama fantástica y las toallas, así como la ducha.
Lo mejor ... los anfitriones ...todo son atenciones !!
Enhorabuena Fran y Mike.

This is our second visit to Corteconception and once gain we had an amazing time. This location is rural Spain at its best. Close to Seville so a very short commute and within driving distance to many amazing Spanish towns.
Corteconception has fabulous walks with stunning scenery which includes a beautiful lake surrounded by acorn and cork trees, black pigs and other livestock. The slow pace of life makes this a very relaxing holiday. There are many local restaurants and bars to eat in. The food was beautiful and the local pork was definitely top of our list.
Fran and Mike were amazing hosts. Their beautiful home is a small farming oasis on the edge of the town and we got to benefit from fresh eggs from the farm. The house we stayed in is beautiful with everything you could need.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

A great break to celebrate my 40th. Mike and Fran were the perfect hosts; sociable, generous and a great source of local information - they genuinely care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
The village itself is lovely and the people friendly even if your Spanish is, like mine, limited. The bars all serve good quality food and drink at good prices.
The area is stunning and we hope to return here to the house sooner rather than later.

Last several months we stayed in many vacation houses. Most of them are good or OK, but this place is excellent. Firstly the real house looks better than the pictures. The ceiling is around 5 meters high and the room is very comfortable and roomy. The bedroom on upstairs is also very big, I concerned about the bathroom size because of my 194 height but it turned out not a problem at all. It's also very clean and practical, with every thing we need. Yet our owner Fran and mike, are the real reason we felt like going back home. They have a peaceful and inspiring life, in this small backcountry Spain country. We got fresh vegetables and fruits very day, as vegetarians we didn't even buy any food during our 9 days staying. We were invited to have a Iberian pork dinner with them, learned a lot about the local culture and history. As foreigners who don't speak Spain very well, this has a lot of value for us. (BTW, the pork and ham are the best I'd ever eaten. ) Besides chatting with our owners, we also enjoyed reading in the yard in morning, playing with the dog(her name is Cervantes:)), feeding sheep, running along the trials surrounded by farms and fruit trees, sitting in the small restaurant at night and chatting with locals. There is a taste of harmony in this house and this village that you don't find very often nowadays. These are all the reasons we rank this small house as home in Andalusia.

We had a wonderful stay. Fran, Mike and Cervantes, the beautiful, bouncy dog were very welcoming and helpful, with lots of information, booking Sunday lunch for us in the village and providing fresh fruit and vegetables as well as good welcome supplies. The house is well equipped and very clean and comfortable with a sunny and shady patio outdoors.
It was cold in the evenings and Fran laid the fire for us every day in the most enormous and efficient wood burner, which heated the whole house brilliantly.
There is a good supply of interesting books, music and DVDs for non -Spanish speakers.
This is a lovely area for walking from the village and further afield, climbs not too steep but with wonderful views and wild flowers, pretty villages and few tourists.

If you have a love of the countryside this is a terrific area to visit. The walking isn't strenuous with only gradual ascents/descents; the area is criss-crossed with paths and tracks so you can make your walks short or long and invariably there's a welcoming bar or two along the route. The accommodation is lovely and perfect for a couple with a super log burner that keeps you toasty when the nights get chilled. Our overall impression was that everyone we had even the slightest contact with tried to be really helpful. Without being intrusive our hosts couldn't have done more to make our stay a real pleasure.
My only dislike was the compulsory insurance imposed by Tripadviser who I would have thought should have learnt from the PPI sandal that best practice demands that cover of this sort should always remain optional.

We were thrilled to find this gem of a property and experience real Andalucian Spain. The cottage has great character with exposed stone walls, spiral staircase, wooden shutters and a little terrace in which to grab some sun or have a evening drink . Evaristo had everything we needed and we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack of food and drink including eggs from the owners chickens. Fran and Mike are the loveliest of hosts - and went out of their way to ensure we got the most from our week. .The local fresh water lake is10 minutes drive away and was a real find. The town of Aracena is a 5 minute drive and is beautiful with cobbled streets and white washed houses. This is a great base for walking with lots of old donkey trails to explore. Sevilla is only an hour's drive and is a must visit location. We will definitely be back to explore more.

We have visited Spain many times but this holiday was very different. As with most of the other rural Spanish locations we visited . . This location has amazing scenery , fabulous food, and the local people are very welcoming of visitors. To add to this our hosts Fran and Mike introduced us to the spanish lifestyle that they now enjoy and this was the icing on the cake.
If you are looking for the real Spain I would highly recommend Evaristo Town House as a holiday location. Access to lovely villages and some great walks and plenty of local knowledge. Although the village of Corteconception, where the house is located is small, there are a good number of restaurants serving great food which is mainly local produce (the pork is amazing) , all within walking distance.
We would highly recommend this location.

Aracena is the nearest town - 7 km and is famous for the black jamon, which are reared locally. It also boasts the grutas or caves that were used in the Indiana Jones movie. There are many restaurants and tapas bars as well as local typical Spanish shops. The market is held on a Saturday and you can stock up on locally produced olives, ham and pate. In the summer, each village has its own fiesta which last 4 days each. They tend to be themed, such as the peach fiestas, the vegetable slaughter feria, the fiesta of the road, etc. They are both fun and real spain. Seville is 45 minutes away and is breathtaking in its architectural beauty, such as the Plaza de Espana, the gold tower, and loads of museums. The catherdral is the second largest in Europe and is spectacular. And the shopping................!!!
Having a car is recommended to take full advantage of the stunning countryside and the local villages. There are buses too that run locally but the service is limited. As mentioned before, we often take guests into town, or to starting points for walks or picking you up after a hike.
100% refund within 24 hours after booking (provided the stay is at least 60 days away).
