Located on the outskirts of Gerani on the northern coast of western Crete, and only a few minutes’ walk away from the Blue Flag sandy Gerani beach. Layout of Selene: Ground floor: kitchen, Dining area, Living room with fireplace, bathroom, spacious veranda. First floor: three bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom, all with balcony), one wardrobe room, seating area, one full bathroom. Basement: (separate accommodation–with own entrance): with 4 single beds, sofa, seating area and bathroom, and storage area: 100 m2 with wine barrels, water tank, central heating boiler, washing machine. All rooms have wardrobe and large balconies. Access between floors is by stairs. Outdoor areas:500m2 of various tiled terraces and balconies, BBQ area, garage for 2 cars and parking for 4 cars, beautiful well-kept flower gardens, olive trees and a selection of fruit trees. Central heating, Fireplace, Solar panel, Wardrobes in all bedrooms, Mosquito screens in all doors and windows. The property and its surroundings are in excellent condition. Equipped with fire extinguisher and first aid kit, air-conditioning in all rooms, washing machine, internet, Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, glasses, cutlery and all utensils for family cooking. Linen sheets, blankets, bath towels and beach towels are provided and additional beds and cot. Ideal for family holidays. Suitable for children and infants. Not suitable for pets, unless outside and tied. No smoking inside. The welcome pack includes milk, coffee, tea, malotira, orange juice, biscuits and local wine and raki with local delicacies. We will provide information on routes and visits by bicycle, motorcycle, car and of course hiking in the mountains or canyons, while explaining what you need to know to better enjoy your holidays and give information about all events in Chania, like concerts, and traditional festivals. We will care for our guests, in a warmth atmosphere worthy to the famous 'Cretan hospitality'. We will do our best so the guests feel very comfortable and enjoy their vacations here. Parties and events allowed if we are invited! Be careful and avoid accidents. Just enjoy your holidays!! No rules in Holidays! Make sure you have good time. It is 7/24 arrival. Neighborhood overview: Walk to Gerani for a bank, tavern, bar, supermarket, farmacy, doctor, bakery, butcher etc. Gerani beach and Silver beach in 1-1,3 km. Platanias the centre of summer night life is 2,5 km away Close, to visit is Ayia Lake 7 km, with children playground and cafés, for romantic getaways. Limnoupolis water park is in 14 km for a day visit. In 5-10 km are sandy beaches i.e. Agia Marina, Stalos, Kalamaki, Glaros and Agii Apostoli where there are coffee and beer kiosks, beach volley, racket playing grounds, wind surfs, and other water sports. At the Park music festivals and other culture happenings get organized. Visit with the bus-train the oldest olive tree in Vouves and its museum, or drive to for 12 km. Visit the famous beach destinations of west Crete: Seitan limani 40km, Elafonisi 60km, Balos 41km, Falasarna 40km. Getting around The car is recommended if you plan to explore Crete. There is bus service every 15 min from Chania to west destinations until late at night 7/24 until 31/8, then on every 30min. Get on BOAK E65 in 1,2 km. CHQ chania international airport is in 30km. Souda port in 21km. Venetian Harbor in Chania in 14km. Chania General Hospital in 15km. Heraklion International airport in 155 km.
