Pooltiel View is a self catering cottage over looking Loch Pooltiel, also with views towards the Outer Hebrides. The cottage comfortably sleeps eight in four bedrooms. Two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, three of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and there is a main bathroom adjacent to the fourth bedroom. A travel cot for an infant is available when requested. The layout of the house is ideal for large parties of up to eight, two families or a family plus Grandparents. The lounge has floor to ceiling windows to take advantage of the magnificent views. It also has a wood burning stove for the cooler winter evenings. The cottage is set in natural croft land and has stunning views of the loch, hills and countryside. Be warned - this cottage is about as far as you can get away from the ferry and bridge so be prepared for at least an hours drive when you get to the island. However its worth the drive ! The location is idyllic -...More

10 minute walk to the pier with mackerel fishing at high tide.
A beach can be found at Glendale or further afield is the coral beach at Claigan, Dunvegan.
There are many enjoyable walks including a lovely walk out to Neist Point lighthouse, where if you are lucky you may spot Minke whales and other wild life. Walks include: Ramasaig Cliffs, Dunvegan Woods, Waterstein, Hamara River and MacLeods tables. If you enjoy swimming outdoors then try Glenbrittle’s magical Faerie Pools, or try kayaking, sailing, fishing or scuba diving in the crystal clear water around Skye's coastline. There are numerous boat trips around Skye to see the wildlife and other islands including a trip on the Bella Jane from Elgol to access Loch Corruisk.
