About the neighbourhood
The nearest town (14 km away) is New Denver, a charming historic town that provides everything a traveler might need including grocery stores, fuel, restaurants, coffee shops, clothing and gifts, a pharmacy, etc. Enjoy the Friday Farmers Market each week, swim and play at Centennial Park, and don't forget to attend the amazing and funky Hills Garlic Festival (Sunday after Labour Day in September). We are also host to summer classical music, dance and drama schools and to the Sufferfest mountain-to-mountain endurance races. The West Kootenay is a vacation paradise for folks who enjoy fresh air, the outdoors, gorgeous scenery and unspoiled nature.
Getting around
There is some public transport in our rural area but it is not really aimed at visitors, best if you have a vehicle of your own.
