Just back from a lovely week in Glenoran. We have been to Newtonmore before and found the cottage perfectly sited in terms of proximity to rail station and equally the hills. Had everything we needed including rhubarb from the garden that made a lovely post hiking crumble. Kitchen very well equipped and bathroom ideal for a soak after wet days walking! We will be back.

The cottage was ideally situated for walking up the Glen with amazing and breath taking views and to visit different areas by car in the Cairngorm National Park. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage, very comfortable to relax in at night after a busy day sight seeing, home from home.

Glenoran was perfect for our visit to the Highland Wildlife Park, Folk Museum, Aviemore and lovely long walks. Everything you need, comfortable and relaxing, lovely warm water, wifi good for our teenage son and we accessed Netflix, the freezer in the porch was great. Garden enclosed for our husky, he had a great time. I would highly recommend Glenoran.

Our family (two adults, two boys aged 7 and 4) stayed at Glenoran for a fortnight and had a fabulous time! The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable with plenty of space both inside and outside (the photos don't do it justice!) The cottage has everything that you need for a holiday stay, with good separate spaces (the boys loved having a TV in their room!) and the garden is great for relaxing and playing games. Newtonmore is a great base for exploring the local area. The Wildcat Experience in the village kept us all entertained searching for wildcats, and being there for the Newtonmore Highland Games was a great experience too. The Highland Folk Museum and Wild Flour Café in the village are both superb! If you're into wildlife, the local area is fantastic for ospreys, red squirrels and red deer - all spotted within twenty minutes' drive of the cottage, around Loch Insh, Loch Garten and Glen Banchor, respectively. The Highland Wildlife Park is also within easy reach. Further afield, Fort William, Loch Ness and Inverness are easy to get to, and Rosemarkie / Fortrose is worth the extra drive to see the dolphins. There is so much to do in the local area and this cottage makes a brilliant base to explore it from. We had a fantastic fortnight and would definitely look to come back!

What a lovely cottage. Everything you could need for your stay. There is a modern bathroom with power shower and a well equipped kitchen. The fully enclosed garden was safe for our escape artist dog (and son) to run around in without worry! After a day of exploring the beautiful Highlands it was lovely to come home and relax in the cosy lounge with comfy sofas. The cottage is one road back from the main street and really quiet with friendly locals and Co-op is 2 corners away.
