Badenoch, standing in its own grounds, has a wide outlook over the Strath of the Upper Spey to the Cairngorms; the Monadhliath Mountains lie behind. It is an ideal base for any group wishing to enjoy walking, climbing, golfing, fishing, in the beautiful surroundings of the Cairngorm National Park. Ideal also for extended family groups - or, indeed, for smaller groups who just want to have lots of space! Open fields to the front. River Spey, village and golf course within 3 minutes walk. There is a fairly large, quite new Coop store with fresh meat, fresh baking, fruit and veg, wine and spirits - open till 10pm at night. Several restaurants and coffee shops and bars and a takeaway. You will be met at Badenoch - probably by the owner Yvonne - and given the keys. Any questions you might have can be answered then or at a time to suit yourselves - perhaps the next day once you have settled in. Once you have the keys the house is yours to enjoy and to look after as your own. Yvonne is always at the end of a phone if you need help with anything. Before you come you are most welcome to ask any questions about the house or the area - restaurants etc. There is a drawer in the hall chest of drawers that has leaflets, maps, and general information about things to do.

Our second visit to this house . Perfect for large groups with everything you need . Plenty to do on the doorstep and within short driving distance. A fun house , you will not be disappointed. Even if the weather is not kind there is plenty to occupy the younger members . A great party house .

I've stayed at Badenoch 4 times now, most recently to celebrate my 40th with 13 of my friends. The house has everything you could need, great access to amenities, activities and enough space, even for 14 adults! Always clean, comfortable and an extremely well equipped Kitchen. Aviemore is only a 15 min drive, where you have access to a massive array of activities. I cant recommend Badenoch highly enough.

Badenoch House is full of character, welcoming, comfortable, cosy and spacious - lots of space for 17 people. It has lovely grounds (with a fire pit) and the local shops are within a short walk. Each of our guests (aged 7 to 70) enjoyed their stay (our dog did too!). It's absolutely the perfect venue to celebrate a big birthday. This was my second stay at Badenoch House, but it won't be my last.

Plenty of rooms, clean and tidy. Great area, easy access in and out. Had no issues at all. The pictures on the advert for this house don’t do it justice.

We stayed as a group of 14 to celebrate my 50th Birthday and had a fantastic time. The house is huge and the rooms also huge, so we had plenty of space. The house is so well equipped, particularly the kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The house sits in a large plot, giving us plenty of outside space and also took advantage of the fire pit in the evening. Yvonne was super helpful throughout and quick to respond. In short, we loved our weekend stay at this fabulous house and would not hesitate to recommend and also return. Thanks!!

A beautiful,spacious house in an amazing setting, close to main road, golf course and other amenities. The owner, Yvonne, was extremely helpful and always answered our queries quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Goed verzorgde woning met vrij uitzicht , keuken zeer compleet met heel veel pannen, bestek, servies, vaatwasser en niet te vergeten een prachtig gasfornuis met drie ovens en een grill. Een aparte, mooie eetkamer met voldoende ruimte voor de gehele groep. Alle slaapkamers waren behoorlijk groot en gaven en gezellige indruk. De aparte ruimte met pooltafel en voetbaltafel zijn veelvuldig gebruikt. De houtkachel bijna iedere avond aangestoken. Er zijn bovendien veel spelletjes en boeken in het huis aanwezig. We hebben werkelijk nergens aan misgegrepen. Wat fijn was, dat de supermarkt heel dichtbij is. Kortom een echte aanrader.

A short walk away from Newtonmore Main Street, this stunning house enjoys beautiful views of the Highlands with easy access to numerous walks. It's hard to put into words how welcoming and homely and warm and cozy the house felt as soon as we opened the door. It is simply stunning and as we explored all the rooms we were amazed at how much thought had gone into ensuring we would feel welcome. From fresh flowers, to fresh fruit, to milk in the fridge, not forgetting the plentiful supply of logs for the wood burner, and numerous bath towels for everyone in our party, all our needs were catered for. We simply could not have wished for a better venue to spend a long weekend with our friends. We are already planning a return visit!

Just home after staying in this beautiful house and also holding our daughters wedding celebrations in the garden, and party in the house. We all stayed for the week with some camping in the garden . It is a beautiful home from home in a stunning location. Shops , pubs on the doorstep. Yvonne couldn’t do enough to help, and we couldn’t have pulled off such a perfect day and week without her . If your looking for a perfect small wedding venue or great holiday home then look no further than Badenoch House.

About the neighbourhood
The Area of Badenoch and Strathspey makes up the western half of the Cairngorms National Park - the largest national park in Britain. Within the area are a host of attractions from the Steam Railway between Aviemore and Broomhill to the Cairngorm Funicular Railway and Britain's only Reindeer Centre. The world-renowned outdoor Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore relates the history of the Highlander in a graphic and entertaining way and offers free admission. Getting around
You can come to Newtonmore and spend the whole time without a car. The train station is a few minutes walk away. There are buses that stop in the village. But most of all you can walk for miles all around the area or sit and relax in the house with family and friends. The local Coop store has a wide stock of food and drink. With a car you can reach North, West, East and Central Scotland with ease within a day.
