Further in you will find the tastefully furnished bedroom with a comfortable double bed, built in wardrobes and the bedroom itself offers nice sea views , so whats more inviting than waking up to the seaview .. To accommodate extra guests there is sofa bed in the living room and we can provide an additional bed if needed and also a baby travel cot can be provided on request..Parking area is also available in the event that you do hire a car and for safety of mind a safe is provided in the apartment keep your valuables .........

Strengths and weaknesses
We are seasoned travelers who often book self-catered apartments to appreciate living like the local people. This was our first experience with accommodations in the Greek islands. We don't know what might be typical, but offer our perspective. We chose this apartment to be away from the overcrowded tourist areas of Fira and Oia and were pleased with our decision. It turned out to be a bit too remote and offered some challenges. Communication via email with the proprietor, Andreas, during the booking and the stay was very smooth; but the "check-in" was handled by the cleaning lady, Rosi, who spoke no English and could not explain how things worked. The taxi pick-up from the ferry port arranged by Andreas went well; but the taxi he booked for our departure to the airport didn't show up. The local bus was fine for getting to all the main areas of the island; but it ran infrequently especially in the evening. The 3 restaurants and 1 small supermarket provided food basics at reasonable prices; but the choices were limited. The black beach and the view of the fishing harbour from the balcony were splendid; but the surrounding area full of litter, abandoned vehicles and blowing dirt was unsightly. The apartment itself was large and clean; but the fixtures were dated and the water was undrinkable. The Santorini landscape, the history, the cuisine and the people are lovely; but a bit rough around the edges.

Excellent beach apartment
This was a very nice apartment with a very supportive owner supporting us during the week. The apartment is in a nice and authentic area that is not crowded by tourists. Taking bus or car to the main city Fira gives you all you need of tourists. The beach very close to the apartment was perfect for soft days at the beach.

Perfect, peaceful and restful
This was a lovely apartment away from the hectic tourist areas of the island. It gave me everything I needed - peace, quiet and a fabulous location overlooking the small harbour. The apartment was excellent, clean and very welcoming. I was met by Rosi and her mum who showed me everything I needed to know and the welcome pack, inc a lovely bottle of wine, fruit, juice, cheese and ham etc was a nice little touch. Andreas, the owner, and his family were very very friendly making sure I wanted for nothing. Sometimes when you are away you get the feeling that it is an imposition to stay in your apartment - but here the opposite was true and I felt very much at home. The beach was never busy and is ideal for children being perfectly sandy (black sand) and very gently shelving out to sea. And finally many people go to Santorini for the sunsets, which are great but here you can see the sunrise from the balcony - and it was truly exceptional, without the crowds!

Great Apartment with Wonderful View of the Sea!
Great apartment, exactly what I was looking for in a long-term rental. Located on Monolithos Beach, with beautiful views of the sea & magnificent sunrises. Loved being here in the winter as it was quiet, though the buses only run three times a day. Loved my walks to Kamari and Karterados and also able to walk to the Supermarket in Mesaria. Make sure to stop in the bakery in Mesaria and fresh fish at Captain Loizo's. Andreas and Rozy, thank you so much for all your help and checking on me to make sure everything was going well. I really felt at home at Rodothea and look forward to visiting again.

Great stay in Santorini.
The efficiency and professionalism of Andreas, the owner, deserve a special mention. From the moment I first made enquiries about Rodothea a few months ago until departure time last week, he has been most courteous and available.
The apartment is comfortable and well located, away from the crowded and more touristy areas. Bus service is available a few steps away, so is a small convenience store, a few restaurants and the beach.
Gaia Winery is worth a visit (about 35 min walk).

All'altezza delle aspettative
Tutti i commenti positivi letti su Trip prima di prenotare erano assolutamente veritieri! L'appartamento tipico greco è una bomboniera che non manca di nulla e affaccia sul mare con il suo meraviglioso terrazzino. Sulla sinistra vi è la spiaggia di Monolithos che vi affitta 2 lettini con ombrellone a soli 5 euro per l'intera giornata con due ottime tavernette alle spalle, un bar e un negozietto per alimentari. Sempre lì è situata la fermta dell'autobus. Per chi affitta una macchina poi Thira è a soli 15-20 minuti di distanza e l'aeroporto dista solo 5 minuti. L'appartamento è perfetto sia per le coppie che per le famiglie, oppure se si viaggia tra amici. La disponibilità e la cortesia del proprietario Sig. Andreas sono insuperabili e approfittiamo ancora per ringraziarlo di tutto.

Vacanza indimenticabile
La casa molto luminosa e pulita con vista mare...i padroni di casa e i loro collaboratori molto ospitali e gentili sempre disponibili. Tutte le comodità a disposizione e il luogo molto tranquillo ma vicino a spiagge attrezzate e ristoranti. Siamo stati veramente felici e fortunati ad aver trovato questo posto.
