You will have an absolutely fabulous and relaxing holiday in this brand new build in traditional Tuscan style home. Lovely wooden beams and windows and terracotta flooring create a romantic ambiance. From the garden you will have the most amazing views from all sides above the spa resort of Bagni Di Lucca and surrounding valleys. The villa has all the modern amenities you would require including a beautiful infinity pool with Roman Steps. There is a modern fitted kitchen and a utility room with the washing machine for your convenience. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms all with fitted wardrobes. Smokers please use outdoors! Living Rooms: Through lounge, open plan area and a large corner sofa. Flat screen TV with satellite channels and DVD Home Theatre, 100+ DVD collection, CD collection & 100+ book library. Open fire (wood burning) with glass protection for your safety. This year we have added an outside dining terrace in front of the property next to pool Accessibility The house has not been adapted for wheelchair use. Outside There is a beautiful infinity pool (8 meter by 5 meter with a depth of 1.5) for your private use and there is decking and Pergola as well as stone entertaining area. No oil based suntan lotions please in the pool and strictly no drinking or eating in the pool. The outside furniture is all teak or dark wood and includes dining table and chairs, sun loungers and parasol, beautiful Pergola for shade and smaller table and chairs for taking breakfast. There is a full size table tennis table with bats and balls etc. Also a 4 person outdoor badminton set to entertain / exercise the kids and grown ups! There is private parking area for 3/4 cars. There is an outside shower and wc. Large BBQ Coast/Beach The grand beach resorts at Viareggio are 1 hours drive to the east. The beaches are flat sand for sunbathing and fully provided with tourist services and upmarket shopping. Golf There are golf courses within an hours drive near Lucca and Pisa. There is also a splendid tennis club in Bagni di Lucca. Skiing There is a Skiing resort (Abetone), 40 minutes drive further up the valley at Castigleone di Garfagnana. Abetone, the main winter sports resort for Tuscany. At 1400 metres and set in an enchanting forest. Ski runs are available in 4 valleys, with numerous ski facilities including 1 cable car, 2 cabinways, 9 chairlifts, 15 ski lifts, 37 ski slopes, 2 cross country slopes and 5 ski schools. The British and Italian Olympic Ski teams use these facilities each year. Special interest holidays The local area is perfect for a walking holiday, mountain biking, horse riding, also the cultural centres of Lucca and Bagni Di Lucca offers many more activities for relaxation. The whole summer is full of the most amazing festivals. Shelly and Keats chose this part of Italy! How to get there Pisa and Florence 1-1.5 hour by car. Bologna 3.5 hours by car. Milan 4.5 hours by car. Many discount airlines fly into the local airports and car hire is recommend to explore the wonders of Tuscany and the many summer festivals and events. Please note that the driveway down to the property is concreted and is easily accessible for small and longer base cars. If hiring a minibus then you may need to make a small 3 point turn on the ascent/decent Distances Granaiola 15 min walk. Bagni di Lucca 5 min drive. Lucca - 24km (25 min drive/train). Pisa 48km (45 min drive/train) Florence 98km (90 min drive/train). Coast 55km (60 min drive). Abetone 40km (45 min drive). Further details There is a small restaurant in Granaiola which is walking distance and a short drive away is Bagni di Lucca which has everything else that you would need: Chemist, banks, small supermarket, numerous restaurants even a large outside swimming lido if you tire of having your own private pool on the doorstep! Bagni di Lucca is situated along the river Lima. There have been thermal baths here since Roman times and the very first Casino in Europe was built here. Many famous English poets such as Shelley, Keats and Byron had connections with Bagni di Lucca and the region. The historic and festival Town of Barga is 20 mins drive, while the walled City of Lucca is 35 minutes drive. We can also offer special services upon request to make your stay extra special please let us know in advance and we will do what we can to accommodate your request. Booking notes The property is booked on a weekly period from Saturday, or by agreed arrangement. We appreciate that weekend flights are expensive so please do contact us. A non refundable deposit is required to secure the time (20%), then full payment by bank transfer 60 days before occupation. In addition a security deposit of £200 is also required. Security deposit to be refunded in full within 14 days of departure date if no deductions for breakages are due. Please note or record and advise us or agent. Guest comments Wow!We have stayed in many villa's but Casa Duetto was by far the best. Perfect in every way. The scenery and wildlife was spectacular, had 4 separate Deer sightings during our week. The villa itself was perfect and catered for everything we needed. Amazing scenery, amazing pool, amazing Villa. We would love a return visit. About the neighbourhood

The Val di Lima, the valley of the river Lima, is a beautiful green area of northern Tuscany located some 20km from the city of Lucca.The main town of the region is Bagni di Lucca, a historic old spa with long-standing international connections. Bagni di Lucca is one of the largest mountain communities in Italy covering over 16,000 hectares with over 75% of the area covered with deciduous trees.The town has three main centres, La Villa, the location of most of the shops and hotels, Fornoli, the more modern and most highly-populated area, and also the location of the railway station, and between these, Ponte a Serraglio at the site of an early bridge across the River Lima.Scattered around these three main centres, in the valley and in the hills and mountains surrounding the town are village...
