Bagni di Lucca is at the start of the Garfagnana valley , renowned in Italy as a center of production for artisanal foods, ham, sausage, cheese, chestnut flour, porcini are just some of the delights. The area is also particularly known for its hilltop villages and churches, along with the multitude of outdoor activities --- hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, river rafting, paragliding, just some of the many that are available.
