The town of Affi, 8 km from the house, has a big supermarket and many shops in the mall. On Saturday mornings, to the right of the house (50m walk), is a market that sells fantastic produce. Also near by, there is a pizza place where you can buy some of the nicest pizza I’ve ever had. The towns on the lake closest to the house are Lazise and Bardolino; both have lots going on! To the right of Bardolino are the ‘beach fronts’ where you can spend the day, rent water activities etc. Also, an amazing walk to take is from the town of Bardolino to the town of Garda at sunset - it is highly recommended. If you want to drive up the coast, head to Malcesine where you can get a cable car right up into the mountains, the view is breathtaking, and you can also walk/hike and rent bikes up there. The lake water further north is very clear - there are some small diving apparatus’ to jump in if you like that sort of thing. On the 26-30 July there is the festival of Saint Anna - a celebration dedicated to food and dance in Calmasino (a mere 2 minute walk from the front door!). A great atmosphere and a wonderful way to fully immerse yourself into the culture of the town. Enjoy your stay, there is plenty to explore all around. Lake Garda near by 2km Verona City is approx 27km Gardaland and Caneva park a 15 min drive away Town of Bardolino and Lazise a 5-10min drive Calmasino a quiet town that overlooks the lake, perfect at sunset to sit in the local bar watch the sun descend over the water, the town also hosts bars restaurants, and a mini supermarket, all a 2 min walk from the house. Saturday mornings there is a local market with fresh food, fruit veg amongst other things. There is someone near by to help with any in house questions you might have. Small complex with communal pool Calmasino a quiet town that overlooks the lake, perfect at sunset to sit in the local bar watch the sun. There are 3 super markets tat are all walking distance from the ouse, 2 in the town square and a bigger one 2 streets behind us. A by slice pizzeria that is probably one of the tastiest we ave ever tried. A post office and about 5 restaurants that again are all walking distance. 3 in the Calmasino square.
