For those who enjoy soaking under the stars, there is the option of an outdoor, wood-fired hot tub (subject to availability). 48 hours notice is required to arrange for its use. With each new set of guests, the hot tub is cleaned and re-filled with fresh, mountain stream water – no chemicals are added. The fee is $75/night, collected on-site at the time of your stay.
This wilderness oasis has a full bathroom, complete with a claw-foot bathtub/shower, and of course, hot running water. Linens and towels are provided.
Upstairs, there are two queen-size beds in the main room and a single bed in a small (connected) side room. The main room also has a television, DVD player and sound system.
Behind the cabin is the creek that powers the micro-hydro. There is cell service at the cabin (for users of the Telus and Bell networks). For guests who prefer to turn off their phones, there is an intercom that will connect you with your hosts at any time of the day or night, should you need assistance.
For those with a taste for adventure, the cabin is the perfect base for a wide range of outdoor activities. Hike the Kitwanga Mountain trail or the trails in Seven Sisters Provincial Park, go mountain biking on old logging roads, or enjoy fishing at local creeks and lakes.

If you want to spend a magical week or weekend unwinding in privacy, this is the place for you. This was my first time renting a cabin and it was an easy, wonderful experience.
When we first arrived Anne and Steve were waiting for us. They were very eager to show us around and to explain how the cabin worked. Fresh bread and jam was waiting on the counter. It was delicious. There were a lot of small touches such as an assortment of DVD's to watch after a 'busy' day of hot-tubbing and grilling.
The property itself hosts many beautiful birds and plants for visual enjoyment. We saw a couple types of hummingbirds in what appeared to be a feud over some nectar near the hot tub. We got to see the stars unadulterated by city light. The peaceful mornings watching trees shake in the calm breeze and the nights listening to night time wild life filled me with peace.
If you happen to need anything, Anne and Steve will be readily and happily available for you. Anytime we had a question or request, we got a fast response. Not only were they wonderful hosts but they are also brilliant and intelligent people who you can have interesting conversations with. Hearing about their life and how the cabin came to be added a lot of engaging elements to our stay. We got to discuss how the heat and water work. We are very grateful. In awe is the least I can say to how I felt about everything.
I have many great things to say about this cabin, it's owners and the property but nothing can take away the experience of going yourself.
Thank you Anne & Steve,
Kyra & Paul

Exactly the mountain escape you want
Beautiful cabin with all you need for a great stay.
Hot tub was scalding hot, just how I like, and fed with fresh creekwater. Grill was easy to use with lighter waiting for us. The actual cabin was stunning, clean, and had wood perfectly set up for a quick ignition in the woodfire heater. The kitchen had what you needed and pre-portioned coffee in little jars.
For us one of the most interesting parts of the stay is that it is completely off the grid. All power comes from the creek flowing past and water/pressure comes from the same. Anne and Steve the hosts were awesome. They were there to introduce us to the place and get a bit of the history. They said they were available at any time although we had no problems so couldn't test that out. With the check out we got a tour of the systems that allows this rustic cabin to have all the amenities of the modern world.

A wonderful mountain hideaway.
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Skeena Cabin this June and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin has been beautifully restored, finished and furnished. Despite being run on a micro-hydro electric system (powered by the small stream that also provides a lovely sound track), the cabin does not lack for modern comforts and conveniences. The wood-fired hot-tub is definitely worth the fee as is the apple-raspberry juice. There is no wifi ( a good thing really) but there is cell signal (you may want to keep that to yourself - let the world think you cannot be reached for a few days). Use the binoculars to scan the open spaces near the crest of Woodcock mountain to your northwest and you may be treated to a sighting of a small herd of mountain goats.

Magical Mountain Hideaway
This comfortable log cabin is exactly as advertised and more: stunning mountain setting, lovingly restored and beautifully appointed. Wake to birdsong and fall asleep to the sound of the bubbling creek. The owners/hosts have included many thoughtful extras: nature guide books, binoculars, maps, candles, home baked bread... We thoroughly enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub, so relaxing after a day of hiking! We highly recommend Skeena Cabin!
