Our chalet is a traditional wooden chalet located in a peaceful cul-de-sac in the Les Grangettes area of Les Carroz. Well located being only 6 minutes walk to the telecabine and 10 mins walk to all the amenities, bars, shops and restaurants of the pretty alpine village of Les Carroz. The free ski bus runs during school holidays. We recommend guests use the heated ski lockers at the telecabine which leaves guests get around easily without carrying ski equipment. Spacious living area, all open plan and well furnished with comfy sofas centred around the log burning fire. The chalet is comfortably furnished and is a great space to share with friends or family. About the neighbourhood
The Grand Massif ski area is one of the largest, and most scenic ski areas in France. It is renowned for it's remarkable snow record due to the close proximity of Mont Blanc and is in the Top 3 snow sure resorts in France.The area consists of the 5 villages of Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoens, Sixt fer a Cheval and the high altitude resort of Flaine which are all linked. There are 265km of pistes, 78 lifts, 133 slopes with 15 green, 53 blue, 51 red and 14 black along with some of the best off-piste skiing around.Flaine (maximum height 2,500 metres) is the gate to one of the biggest ski and snowboard areas in France, aptly named 'Le Grand Massif'. The 133 pistes are all connected, and Flaine, whether you're skiing or snowboarding, prefer freeride, freestyle or carving, you'll enjoy your favourite snowsport in a magnificent setting.
Getting around
Les Carroz is an easy village to get around. You will find your bearings very quickly and shops, bars and restaurants are on the periphery of the central square. To get to the skiing quickly you can either walk to the telecabine (10-15 mins), or take the FREE ski bus from the main road (during school holidays only). We highly recommend renting the ski lockers at the telecabine which help you get around unhindered by your ski equipment! If you are driving then all the parking at the telecabine is FREE and is a 2 minute drive!
