Had a lovely stay at Dagley cottage, everything was perfect, clean and spacious. Ideally situated Guildford and surrounding Surrey area even down to Brighton and Bognor Regis.

The cottage was really cosy, incredibly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It's in a good location in the village with great transport links. We will definitely come back.

Dagley Cottage in Shalford turned out to be an ideal place from which to explore both London and the Surrey countryside. The host, Joanna, was helpful and the cottage snug and cosy. Even the weather was near perfect! I am happy to recommend Dagley Cottage to anyone visiting the area.

This is a gem! Good location, immaculately clean, comfortable bed, log fire, great shower and all the kitchen kit you need to pull a meal together. Joanna was so helpful and returned messages promptly which made the arrangements really smooth. The tasteful choice of furnishings contributed to a really relaxing stay and we liked it so much that we're hoping to return in the Spring.

The cottage is adorable with everything you could need for a comfortable relaxing stay. The milk, biscuits and bread ect is a really nice touch and very welcome having had a long drive so many thanks for that as it’s these little touches that really set you up to having a very welcoming stay and make a huge difference on arrival. The whole cottage is spotlessly clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofas. Parking the car was great as it was safely put away behind electrical gates on the property again making parking stress free after a long day exploring. The cottage is very well places with lots of things to do. You can walk in to Guildford which is nice and easy and so caught a train to London for a day out. We also visited lots of amazing Nationsl Trust properties. There are so many lovely walks straight from the front door we were spoilt for choice. The countryside is beautiful with lots of trees. We can’t recommend this property enough as it had it all a great cottage in a fantastic part of the country with lots to see and do with a very kind and helpful host Joanna. A great find and look forward to visiting again soon.

Close both to Guildford and the Surrey Hills. Excellent Gastro Pub nearby (The Seahouse) includes good vegan menu. Close to parade of shops including friendly cafe for breakfast and lunch (The Snooty Fox) - 5 mins walk. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Only faults were the sitting room door sometimes sticks, and lack of space to put things in the bathroom - otherwise excellent.

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. Shelving for the bathroom is on my list to rectify, so should be done shortly. The door is more tricky as it's an old wooden building which moves with the changes of season and the humidity, but I will see what I can do!
