Smart TV, wi-fi and other online entertainment available. Board games & childrens' toys laid on in case of less favourable weather. Striking new contemporary kitchen-diner with fabulous triple-aspect views and direct access via wide timber deck to garden via French doors. The property occupies an elevated position which affords magnificent south-westerly views with fabulous sunsets to see. It is set in a quiet, residential neighbourhood and benefits from high-walled perimeters, affording tremendous privacy, yet enjoys easy access (< 150m away) to the start of the West Highland Way, Mugdock Country Park, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The West Highland Way + Forth-Clyde Canal provide easy cycle tracks within easy reach. Located in a luxury garden suburb, 15 minutes from Glasgow city centre. About the neighbourhood
Located in a luxury garden suburb, 20 minutes drive from both Loch Lomond and Glasgow city centre or a 1 minute walk to an abundance of local amenities including independent shops: crafts, delis & grocery stores all within the traffic-free village centre. Easy and pretty walks via West Highland Way to nearby Mugdock Country Park and around Milngavie Reservoir. [Milngavie hosts the water reservoir (with its beautiful walkways) for Glasgow, and is within easy range of Loch Lomond & Loch Katrine.] Guests are rewarded with stunning panoramic views, especially sunsets.
Getting around
Milngavie itself is a lovely pedestrianised village 6 miles from the centre of Glasgow. What makes it such a most desirable area is that it sits on the edge of beautiful countryside yet has the benefit of being well connected to other parts of Scotland by road and rail. There are 4 trains each hour into Glasgow city centre, each taking between 20-25 minutes. The town is also close to an abundance of transport links - eg. ROAD (M8, M74, M77, M9), plentiful rail connections (eg. direct train to/from Edinburgh), airports (GLA/EDI) and ferry terminals (eg. Greenock/Gourock/Stranrar).
