The delightful Cottage is conveniently placed halfway between the cities of Inverness & Aberdeen on the world famous malt whisky trail. The luxury accommodation is snuggled away in the gardens at Mains of Auchindachy, 3 miles from the market town of Keith. The cosy cottage is the perfect romantic getaway; secluded hot tub, wood burning stove, four poster bed, infant friendly and the perfect base to explore all the local attractions. The garden (approx. 1 acre) contains a wide variety of mature trees, shrubs and flowers. The property is surrounded by open fields of horses, sheep and cattle. The cottage has its own little lean-to conservatory which leads on to a private stone patio and barbecue area (exclusively for guests) There is an abundance of wild birds in the garden, including a family of grouse. The cottage has its own parking space right outside the front door. The Cottage has one wall attached to the end of the large Main House which is a 200+ year old double story traditional Scottish farmhouse. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage but guests are welcome to smoke outside in the garden/grounds. The Space Scottish Country Cottage is ideal for a perfect romantic getaway for two. The space is quaint and quirky yet contains all mod-cons. The bedroom has a beautiful handmade four poster bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to make a lovely special meal or barbecue. You can either enjoy your meals inside by candle light and the wood burning stove, or in the conservatory; or on sunny days, outside on the cottage patio. A fully equipped wicker picnic basket and blanket are also available should you wish to make your own special packed lunch to take with you on an outing. Cottage basics provided include:- teas, coffee, sugar, breakfast cereals, jams etc. Complimentary home made bread is supplied on the day of arrival. The cottage has a wide variety of books, music CDs and games for your personal enjoyment during your stay. This includes an antique volume set of the history of The Highland Clans. Other things to note: Bedroom has dehumidifier Wood burning stove (the initial supply of coal/logs/firelighters are provided) Additional bags of hardwood logs are available for sale. German electric storage heating TV/DVD player with Netflix Radio/CD Player Bluetooth Speaker (water proof) for use in hot tub Unique Collection of Books and CDs Electric cooker & Microwave oven Small Fridge Small Freezer BBQ (Gas) Garden furniture Sun loungers Hammock for two Free WiFi Broadband UV sterilisation light is used for germicidal disinfection and ozone of the cottage between guests as well as thorough cleaning protocols. Cottage has 1 bedroom with a four poster double bed. An urban cot is available for a baby < 1 yr old or fold up cot for a child < 3 yrs old no additional charge. A fold up single bed is at a nominal nightly charge for older child/adult The Guest agrees to comply with the Scottish Government guidance for Test & Protect and to pay any associated costs with an extended stay, including any cancelled bookings for future guests. The Guest agrees the use of the Hot Tub & Gas BBQ is at their own risk.

Celebrated my 40th birthday weekend here with my husband. It was perfect. On arrival Laura had surprised us with birthday bunting on the front door, beautiful fresh flowers with sweets and a card! Then she gave us fresh hot homemade bread straight from the oven....More

My husband and I visited for our 2nd anniversary and had a great time. Laura made lots of personal touches which we really appreciated and was very warm and welcoming to us. The hot tub was amazing and we would definitely return for another visit.

Getting around
Scottish Country Cottage is close (approx. 2 miles) drive to the market town of Keith. However, as in any rural area a car is essential. Public transport including buses, trains and taxis are readily available to and from Keith town centre. It is possible to travel to Keith by public transport and then arrange taxis to and from the town. A number of guests have successfully used public transport to visit Scottish Country Cottage and enjoy visiting the surrounding areas.
