Wonderful Stay (January 2024)
Javid was a great host. He was very responsive and given he has owned his unit since the mid-2000s, he has an intimate familiarity with the property and island of St. Lucia that is unmatched by other hosts. With your reservation, you get Javid's guide for recommended activities based on his family's experience and information shared with him by his guests. This was more valuable to us than any travel book or anything you might find on TripAdvisor. Everything went as he said it would from arrival to departure and we did not have any issues. From his guide, we would echo his recommendation of the tasting at St. Lucia Distillers (very close to the resort), a stop at The Coal Pot in Castries, and spending a day at Ti Kaye Resort enjoying their beach and restaurant. His unit was clean, updated, and comfortable. We visited in January 2024 and did not have an overly buggy experience and as we understand, the property (which was acquired by Hyatt within the last year) has taken significant steps to counter any mosquitoes.

Beautiful Penthouse!!
We stayed in Javid’s three bedroom penthouse at Zoetry Marigot Bay for seven nights and it is very spacious and has an incredible view!! We really enjoyed the pool, the food and drinks and facilities! We meet quite a few staff who were wonderful and people around the pool. They did just switch to a Zoetry hotel so there were a few hiccups but they were very kind to fix any issues. Javid was excellent with communication. I highly recommend staying at Javid’s place! Enjoy beautiful and tropical St Lucia!

Fabulous Fitness & Yoga Classes with Jay
Spent another fabulous week in the Bay and was able to enjoy Jays classes every morning. We had a blast and many laughs. He is very knowledgeable on health and fitness and was able to modify his class for each individuals needs. I would highly recommend partaking and can’t wait to come back.

Paradise St Lucia Getaway
Marigot Bay Resort, Spa & Marina is the perfect Caribbean getaway for couples, families and friends. The resort has bountiful quiet chill out spots, including two great pools, an amazing spa experience which is definitely worth a visit, relaxing activities such as yoga and many delicious options for food at the resort or a short free water taxi away. The tropical view from Jay's apartment is stunning and a lovely way to start your morning. Jay's customer service throughout the whole booking process has been amazing and he has also offered us many suggestions of things to do and places to eat on the island, Ladera - lunch and Coalpot - dinner were two of our favourite spots for the taste of local food. The staff across the resort are so so friendly and always willing to help. The apartment was in a very clean condition, with air conditioning, daily cleaning and turnover service available too. This place is a must visit for anybody looking to relax, unwind and enjoy the sunshine in a blissful paradise location, we will definitely be returning soon.

Stylish, comfortable apartment with great views
The stylish apartment was set amongst the beautiful forested slopes of Marigot Bay with stunning views towards the inlet and its marina. The lovely pool was just a short walk away, with a swim-up bar and super comfy beds for lounging in.

Fantastic apartment in paradise.
Jay has a great apartment at Marigot Bay Resort. My family of four had a great two week stay there. Three adults and one toddler age 2 and a half. Everyone had a wonderful time, Jay’s apartment is very child and family friendly. We rented a car and I don’t regret that decision but we loved going out on the water and we used an inexpensive local water taxi service and found that to be the ideal way to get to the epic beaches and difficult spots that in a car are by very windy roads. The Caribbean side is very smooth we took our 2 year old out several times. the main road is fine going north and to the Airport. Jay was really easy to book with and his guide was very helpful. In fact before I found Jay I tried to book with a different owner who was un able to accommodate us because we were only 2 months out but I found Jay and he apparently has a better relationship with reservations at the resort because he made it happen!

Favorite Vacation
This is our second time renting this apartment. This resort and island is definitely one of our favorite vacations. The apartment is spacious, modern and views you can look at all day. The staff at the resort are wonderful, everyone is very friendly. Also, Javid/the owner is great to work with, very responsive and helpful. We recommend renting a car and exploring the island. There is so much to do and see. Even after our 2nd trip there are still places we haven’t been. Our kids are already asking when can go back!

A luxurious retreat in paradise!
This apartment is elegantly furnished with everything my family could need--the modern kitchen, the sleek bathrooms, the comfortable living and dining area, and the large, comfortable beds are perfectly reflected in the photos I first saw of them. I loved sitting one of the three balconies overlooking the palms and plantings and to the stunning pool in the background. The apartment is conveniently located near the pool entrance and restaurants, so going back and forth is easy. The entire staff of the resort is friendlier than any group I've ever met, making every moment more pleasant. At the expansive pool, staff helped me with towels for the plentiful lounges and whenever I wanted a drink or food from their excellent swim up bar/restaurant. I never grew tired of reading by the water and looking across the bay to the lush green forested hillsides. Very, very relaxing. There is a shallow end of the pool and a large deep end, long enough for laps. Plus there is a lovely kiddy pool adjacent where more adults than children floated on graceful rafts. Finally, there is a smaller second pool a few steps down from the main pool. We liked the resorts' restaurants very much since they had many choices and price levels for the whole family. Having stopped at a grocery store on the way from the airport, we could have breakfast or a midday snack in the apartment if we could resist ordering from the pool or going to a restaurant. We all loved walking the short boardwalk to one of the restaurants and a few shops, passing by elegant boats moored at the harbor at the foot of the resort hillside. The resort was so delightful that we only need a couple excursions. We enjoyed snorkeling for a half day, zip lining one day, and visiting a chocolate plantation and seeing the volcano on a last day--all with a taxi who saved us the narrow hair-pin turns on the roads. Otherwise, our days at the pool were all we needed. If we needed advice or a bulb changed, the help was immediately available from the friendly staff at the desk. I'd highly recommend this property for a delightful opportunity to relax in luxury, and to escape the cold for a lush tropical environment.

The best view of any hotel anywhere...and the best staff...
We are just back from Marigot Bay Resort, having stayed in Javid’s three bedroom penthouse. Wow...it was superb. But more about that later. Firstly, I want to say a bit about Javid, because if you are reading this, you are no doubt wanting to be reassured about making a booking. From the first time I contacted Javid, he has been great to deal with. He answered my emails quickly, often within minutes, and supplied every detail I needed. He sent me an 18 page pdf stuffed full of information about Marigot, the apartment, restaurants, shops, trips, currency, food, and everything you would ever need to know. He advised me about car hire (rental), and arranged taxi van from and to the airports (through Marigot). I would not hesitate to recommend Javid to anyone, and everything he promised was exactly as he said. We arrived into the smaller airport at Castries, to be met by the Marigot taxi van, who took us to the hotel, where we were treated by name, and within minutes we being shown round our apartment. We rented Javid’s three bedroom apartment; whilst it is further back than the pool facing two bedroom, it was the right choice for us, as the children could each have their own bedrooms, and we were upstairs on our own...with the best view I have ever seen whilst having a coffee in bed in the morning! The apartment was fantastic. It is a great size, with large bedrooms, well fitted kitchen, three full bathrooms and an extra downstairs toilet and washroom. Outside there is a fully furnished wrap around balcony downstairs (with a hot tub in the corner) and another furnished balcony upstairs off the main bedroom. These were used a lot, both for sitting reading, as well as having lunch. Oh, and each of the downstairs bedrooms have their own balconies as well. There were three Nespresso machines (bring your own Nespresso pods...they cost a fortune on the island!); three fridges (prestocked with coke, sprite, water etc); three safes; four televisions (if you have Apple TV etc at home, bring it with you as the quality of the local signal varies with the weather, although there are about 60 channels). The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher (again, pods are expensive locally so bring your own), washing machine and cooker / oven and grill. Each of the huge double beds has its own mosquito net, and each room has air conditioning. The apartment is great, and we felt so comfortable, and loved every minute we were there. The resort itself is also a joy. Within a day or two, every member of staff knew our names, including our children's names. The level of service are second to none. When we were at the resort, when we weren’t in the apartment, we were down by the pool. Beds were freely available, and the staff would come over quickly with (free) bottles of water. On most days, they would also come round with fresh coconuts, as well as samples of sushi and fruit. The pool has probably the best view I have ever enjoyed; you swim to the edge, and look over and see the boats in the bay. The restaurants both in the resort and locally, aren’t cheap, but that is as much to do with the currently poor UK/US exchange rate as anything else. We particularly enjoyed one evening at Masala Bay, and another at the BBQ Night at Hurricane Hole. That night seemed reasonable value, and included great food and local entertainment. Javid recommended Drive A Matic for our car hire. They brought our jeep to the hotel, and then collected it at the end of the holiday. We found them great to deal with, and the car was fun! We were glad we rented a car, as we used it most days, and saved a fortune in taxi and water taxi fares, by driving north to Rodney, and south to Soufriere, a number of times. The roads are windy, and you soon get to remember where the potholes are, but driving was easy and fun. In conclusion, we were genuinely sorry to be leaving at the end of our holiday, and would love to go back and do it all again. Marigot Bay is a superb resort, and Javid is a great host. Thank you to Javid, and thank you to all the staff at Marigot who made our trip so memorable.
