Farmhouse
Forest Lodge is a self-catering farm house on the edge of Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve. The House has mountain views and is a perfect location for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching or relaxing by the fire. The kitchen has a huge open fire place with an external BBQ area. Fully equipped kitchen. The renovated house is still full of old farm features with original wooden beams and lovely wooden features throughout.

Ideal cottage on the edge of Grootvadersbosch
We spent two nights at a very good rate in comfortable quarters and idyllic surroundings, within minutes of beautiful walking in a slice of Tsitsikamma forest.

Great rustic getaway
Fantastic rustic cottage in the stunning Grootvadersbosch area. perfect getaway for a couple or a group of friends. Loads of MTB trails in the area provided by the grootvadersbosch Conservancy.

Basic but well equipped cottage in perfect setting
Location is perfect for mountain biking on the extensive Grootvadersbosch Conservancy network of trails - and Aileen & Walter are available to offer advise on which trails to explore based on your level of expertise/fitness. The three bedroom cottage is basic but well equipped & clean with a stunning outdoor shower. Perfect for a family. We will definitely return to further explore the amazing single track !!

Excellent house in beautiful nature.
A quiet place very close to Grootvadersbosch nature reserve. The house is very well equipped and the rooms are large with fine view. Terrasse and view from the same are rather fantastiq. The place is very suitable for long walks in the reserve. The garden is full of beautiful birds passing by all the time.

Great hideaway
What a fabulous spot to get away from city life. Nice and rustic accommodation, keeping life simple but with all the basic necessities. Gorgeous mountain view and THE most superb outdoor shower ever! Close to the Nature Reserve walking Trails and GVB Conservancy MTB trails provides activities for the whole family.

What a beautiful place...
Myself and a number of friends had the most fantastic weekend away over a long weekend in April at this beautiful spot.
Nestled away in the most fantastic valley, just a short walk away from the nature reserve, with so much to do in the area.
A highly recommended trip for any one able to get to the area.

Little Forest Cottage with access to giant redwoods and secret rivers
What a beautiful place I had the privilege of staying at with friends for three nights. Big kitchen fire, outdoor shower under the stars, comfy beds- all right next door to one of South Africa's most beautiful nature reserves. Grootvadersbosch is home to exotic century old redwoods, and some of the most extensive birdlife I have seen in a long time. We spent an entire day lazing in the nature reserve pools, and every evening with honey from Honeywood farm next door, and a spot of Tullamore Dew whiskey to warm the heart. I'd recommend it if it wasn't for how jealous I'd be that someone else would get to stay there other than me! :P

little haven only 3 hours from Cape Town
I spent 3 nights with my friends at this cozy cottage, at the edge of the reserve. Though renovated, you can still imagine how it must have felt like to live 300years ago. The big fireside and outdoor shower with views on the mountains made this place really unique. Highlights: Hike through the redwood forest to a private canyon with waterfalls and natural pools!
