About the neighbourhood
Connel has two hotels/restaurants and the cottage is only 5 miles from the picturesque and bustling harbour town of Oban with its many splendid shops and restaurants to explore, known as the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland' with its fishing boats in the bay to the Calmac ferries leaving for the Western Isles and small boats for island hopping round the Small Isles or trips to the seal colony.
For those looking for winter sport, Ski opportunities are within easy reach with Glencoe a 45 minute drive and Fort William an hour away.
