Keepers Cottage is a delightful mid-eighteenth century cottage with open fireplace and beamed ceiling providing a warm cosy atmosphere.We offer a quiet and peaceful holiday yet conveniently situated between Machynlleth and Aberdyfi, close to sea and mountains. The coastal pass goes through our sheep farm. The village of Pennal has a village shop and an excellent pub/restaurant the 'Riverside 'serving wonderful food. About the neighbourhood
The village of Pennal is rich in historical interest with documented history going back to roman times. The village was involved in the revolt of Owain Glyndwr and also the war of roses. A historic church stands in the center of the village. Machynlleth 4 miles away was the first capital of Wales. Aberdyfi is a beautiful harbour villiage and has a lovely sandy beach that goes all the way to Tywyn, an old fashioned seaside town with fomous honey ice cream.
