Watermill
Set in one of the most picturesque and historic regions in France, the adorable Moulin de L’Hoste nestles serenely on the banks of the River Nauze. This charming 19th century water mill, located just south of enchanting Belves (classified as one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”), has been lovingly refurbished and offers luxurious accommodation for up to 15 guests. For larger parties, our fabulous “Petit Gite” offers further accommodation for a further 4 guests when available and at an additional cost. The Moulin is quintessentially French, full of character with superb exposed stone walls, romantic beamed ceilings, large comfortable sofas, log burner and delightful bespoke outside dining, chill out and play areas, with everything you need for a wonderful and memorable holiday. Gorgeous place to stay in the wonderful Dordogne. Chris and her daughter Jenni are marvellous hosts and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are light and airy and wonderfully furnished (we got to see some of the other rooms too) and the whole place has a feeling of French rustic charm with more than a dash of elegance. Clean and comfortable and with lovely grounds filled with apple trees, what’s not to like? If you have a car it’s handy for the nearby towns and villages and for exploring the wider Dordogne area in general. Highly recommended and will definitely return someday.

Great place for a large family or group of friends to explore the Dordogne. Convenient for so many spectacular towns, caves, chateaux and other sights. Bedrooms or very comfortable with new sheets and towels. Convivial common spaces to enjoy each other’s company and prepare and eat meals. Chris, thanks for a wonderful stay.
