About the neighbourhood
To the west of the property is the seemingly endless pebble and sand blue flag beach which is popular with watersports enthusiasts and holidaymakers alike. Swimming, wind-surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking and sailing can all be practised here in seas of high water quality. Sea anglers can also try their luck on what is commonly thought of as the best bass surf beach in Wales. Low water allows fishermen to dig lugworms in the sand opposite the village or rummage for peeler crabs in the estuary close to the Menai Straits and only a short car journey away. The nearby estuarine nature reserve at Y Foryd is a birdwatchers paradise and makes this stretch of coastline particularly attractive. Visitors can either walk to bird hides where they can spot protected species such as Little Egrets...
Getting around
There is a bus to Caernarfon that stops outside the house.
