Villa is close to the Archaeological Park of Solunto and its Museum. The close Natural Reserve of Monte Catalfano is a paradise for nature walks. Along the coast, the underwater archaeological site of Ant is an attraction for people who enjoy diving. Boat trips with skipper in the clear waters around the Rock of the Ant, home of dolphins, up to the Eolian Islands and fishing can be arranged in summer. 500 meters away 5- 10 minutes walking along the National Road) you may go sightseeing the touristic village of Santa Flavia and the fishing touristic villages of Porticello and Sant'Elia, where you can taste delicious Sicilian dishes, Sicilian wines, well-known typical cakes and cheeses, together with a lot of ancient local gastronomic specialties too. Santa Flavia is a welcoming place among sea, mountains, nature and art, where you and your children can enjoy and spend unforgettable holidays About 1 Km. away, driving along the quite panoramic coast road that goes past Sant'Elia and the Natural Reserve of Monte Catalfano, you'll get the fishing village of Aspra and the promontory of Mongerbino, from which you can admire a breath-taking view on the gulf of Palermo and on Monte Pellegrino. At the same distance you can admire the beautiful eighteenth century villas built by the best Sicilian nobility on the panoramic luxuriant hills of Bagheria. 500 meters far from the Villa, the station of Santa Flavia allows you to take one of the trains going to Palermo or Cefalù. Train start each hour and takes only 15 minutes to get to Palermo. Euro 2,80 / person and then go to the well-known Monreale, Mondello ... or go sightseeing the town by a red touristic pullman with guide.The ticket is for all the day. The same pullman goes to Monreale too. You can easily go to Cefalù by train too. If you prefer, I can put at your disposal a taxi driver to go sighseeing Sicily and for the transfer from the airport of Palermo / Catania and back. It s possible to go in less than an hour from the sea to the mountain, taking part in sightseeing, excursions in the great Madonie National Park (alt m. 2000). Boat trips with skipper in the clear waters around the Scoglio della Formica (the Rock of the Ant), home of dolphins, up to the Aeolian Islands and fishing can be arranged in summer. In 30 minutes by car you can easily get to Palermo and go sightseeing the precious monuments, the historic center, that is the biggest in Europe, where spectacular, endless, full of goods and sweet-smelling open-air markets take place, the museums and the important theaters. Don't forget to go sightseeing the well known lido of Mondello and the town of Monreale, with the most beautiful and important Cathedral in the world too. In the same time you can also get to the well known touristic medieval town of Cefalù, with its marvelous beach and the Arab-Norman Cathedral, or to the enchanting Castle of Caccamo. Adding a few minutes, without never losing the view of the sea, you can reach the spectacular National Natural Madonie Park (mt.2000 on the sea), the highest mountain chain in Sicily after Etna and the paradise of rare protected animal and vegetables species.
