Birch Lake Lodge is a fly-in fishing resort located in the heart of Northwestern Ontario. The facilities are located on a fish-tail point on Birch Lake, surrounded on either side by water. The amenities are modern, comfortable and homey, the fishing is fantastic and the food is delicious and unique. We offer a fishing experience that you will never forget, making you feel at home the moment you step off the plane. <BR><BR>Part of the adventure of coming to Birch Lake Lodge is having the opportunity to fly in a float plane. The experience alone of taking off from the water and flying over old growth forest in Northern Ontario is worth the trip. <BR><BR>The fishing on Birch Lake is world class, consisting of walleye, northern pike and lake trout. We offer a fishing experience that you will never forget, making you feel at home the moment you step off the plane. <BR><BR>Part of the adventure of coming to Birch Lake Lodge is having the opportunity to fly in a float plane. The experience alone of taking off from the water and flying over old growth forest in Northern Ontario is worth the trip. <BR><BR>The fishing on Birch Lake is world class, consisting of walleye, northern pike and lake trout. On any given day, guests catch between 30 - 40 fish a person. The lake itself is 35 miles long and has plenty of natural character to ensure an interesting fishing experience.<BR><BR>The resort consists of 5 cabins and a main lodge. Each cabin is equipped with an indoor 3-peice bathroom <BR>(hot and cold running water), a full kitchen with all pots and pans, single beds with goose down duvets, bed linens and towels, living room and dining room. <BR><BR>Guests can choose to either do their own cooking in their cabins, or come to the main lodge for breakfast and dinner. The food is home-cooked gourmet, incorporating one of a kind recipes with fresh caught fish that you will find no where else. The menu is catered to our guests preferences, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and allergies.<BR><BR>Pricing varies depending on which type of fishing package guests choose; Housekeeping plan, Modified Americian plan or customized. <BR>

Birch Lake Lodge is the perfect fishing destination for those that enjoy world class fishing, comfortable accommodations and extra amenities that you won't find at any other remote lodge; free wifi access, unlimited ice, free parking, excellent customer service, clean linens and gourmet fish fry dinners. <BR><BR>Birch Lake Lodge is located 72 miles northeast of Red Lake ON, and is accessible only by floatplane. The lake itself is 35 miles long, with an endless array of natural character, that makes it interesting to fish. We have the only main lodge on the lake, so there are very few other boaters. <BR><BR>What sets us apart from every other outfitter, we provide well maintained equipment, the fishing is second to none, the accommodations are very comfortable and we ensure excellent customer service. We also specialize in providing customized fishing trips. Customized fishing packages can be arranged for corporate retreats, weddings, family reunions, honeymoons and just about anything else you can think of. <BR><BR>Fishing on Birch Lake is excellent, with guests complaining that "they are tired of catching to many fish!!!" The primary species in the lake include walleye, northern pike and lake trout. Slot size of the fish range from eating size up to trophy. <BR><BR>Dining at Birch Lake Lodge is a treat in itself. Our meals are homecooked gourmet and prepared fresh daily. The menu is unique to Birch Lodge as it is inspired by ingredients from the north. How to get there
Guests fly in to Birch Lake Lodge from either Ear Falls ON, or Red Lake ON. The preferred travel method is driving up to Ear Falls ON, and flying to Birch Lake Lodge from Kabeelo Airways that is located 1 hour outside of Ear Falls. Flying to Birch Lake Lodge from Kabeelo Airways is included within the package price of the trip. Flying from Red Lake ON requires a special aircraft charter and is an additional expense.<BR><BR>Flights to Birch Lake Lodge from Ear Falls ON or Red Lake ON are chartered as part of your fishing trip package. <BR><BR>The float plane flight from Ear Falls ON, to Birch Lake Lodge takes roughly 20 minutes for the flight, and gives guests an opportunity the beautiful landscape as they to Birch Lake Lodge.
