A rural experience we would not have missed x.
Certainly a little deceiving from the actual description. It is only good points, however, that we may offer to those considering to stay. After initial shock of location (we thought it was in or near a village), we bit by bit fell in love with the rural feel of the place. The cottage was very rustic and quirky, but exceptionally clean. with all the necessary equipment needed for a comfortable stay. After difficulty finding it, we settled in and enjoyed our stay (even being joined by friends on the second day) who also found the place endearing. The cottage itself was about 20/30 yards from the main farmhouse, where the owners lived and were most helpful. We normally like to stay a little closer to civilisation, however, the accommodation is not far from many places to visit and of interest, including Cheddar and Shepton Mallet Prison (doesn't sound interesting, but is a must 1600s). Wells cathedral etc.If you intend to take a dog, the garden is not enclosed, so you must be with your dog at all times, but plenty of room on the property to exercise them. All in all a pleasant stay, a bit alike to Emmerdale in it's early years even including the old bread ovens. Lovely place to sit around the table with friends, play cards, catch up on life, have a few glasses of wine and fall into beautiful comfortable cotton sheeted beds after a day exploring. An experience we enjoyed immensely.x

Mr
We were a group of two couples and spent 3 nights in this lovely, quirky cottage. We found it to be a very interesting place to stay, the decor was great and there were some really unusual bits and pieces on display. We only really had breakfast during our stay, but the small kitchen was well equipped. We slept really well in the very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were very good quality and styled to be in keeping with the property, only concern was the two very high steps down into the en-suite which may be a problem for some people. Outside was a lovely large garden with lots of space for our dog to run free, which she did - enjoying several happy hours playing with the owner's fox terrier Jenny. By the way Andrew, the owner was very pleasant and helpful. We would be very happy to stay here again in the future.
