Great house near Glen Affric
Great place to stay when you love nature. Glenn Affric so nearby. Very friendly family that gave us warm welcome. The house is great, only if you love to cook, not really much tools, like spoon for soup, mixer etc. But no big problems!

Great weekend
We stayed in carpenters cottage ,which has amazing view from double bedroom, The property was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Liv called to check we had arrived and had everything we needed and was very helpful with her local knowledge. If you are looking for a quite spot to visit I can highly recommend Tomich Holidays ,there are lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep.the couple in the neighbouring cottage had been coming there for twenty years ,and I can see why .we will definitely be back .

Wonderful cottage and location - we will be back!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottages are located within the village of Tomich and are easy to find. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of space for 4 people. Parking just outside the cottage is handy for unloading and loading. The leisure facilities on site are excellent, with a swimming pool, games room and a drying room. However it's the outdoors we came for and during the week we had several excellent walks and runs direct from the cottage. Within the village are a cafe which serves excellent snacks and a pub where we had a gorgeous meal. Both eating places are a very short walk from the cottages. Further afield are many more opportunities for enjoying the outdoors. The city of Inverness is nearby and well worth a visit. We are already planning our next holiday here. It's obviously a great site - the people in the cottage next to us have been on holiday here over 20 times!

Perfect, authentic Scottish holiday
We stayed for one week in Woodland lodges. The lodge was very well equipped as well as being comfortable and clean. The children loved the swimming pool and outdoor play area. The location is fantastic, the beautiful Glen Affric is right on your doorstep. There are miles and miles of stunning walks, waterfalls and wooded valleys and of course it's only a 20 minute drive to Loch Ness. We will 100% staying here again.

Brilliant holiday - rated 'best ever' by our boys!
We stayed for two weeks in one of the Courtyard Cottages at Tomich Holidays. It was really spacious, comfortable and well-equipped for the five of us. There's a great football pitch onsite with two goals, which delighted our two younger boys. Meanwhile, there's also lots of space to cycle around, which pleased our eldest. Not only that, but there are lots of great countryside walks straight out from the complex. The indoor swimming pool is a welcome addition, especially on wet days. The location is ideal for exploring Glen Affric, which is beautiful. It's reasonably close to Loch Ness too. The Highlands are simply stunning to visit. Even when the weather isn't being the kindest, the mountains look beautiful. The village of Tomich is pretty too and is home to the fantastic Coach House Cafe, which is definitely worth a visit! We all enjoyed it so much that we've already booked again for next year!

Good leisure facilities, basic accommodation
We arrived at our Woodland Lodge in Tomich holiday village around 5.30pm and found our welcome pack as promised. Fairly basic provisions from the Spar. Kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds. The bathroom really lets it down. The shower is in dire need of being replaced. It’s in need of a refurb and looks quite dingy. We were a bit disappointed that the advertised television didn’t work. We reported the fault and someone came to replace the cables but we were told the box would be replaced. No-one replaced the box and the TV didn’t work for our entire visit. Now, I know no-one goes on holiday to watch TV, but with three children on a very wet week’s holiday, a TV can be useful! A radio would be a welcome addition to the accommodation. Swimming pool is very good but does get quite busy, especially as non-residents are able to use it too. The kids’ play area is great too. Area surrounding the holiday village is gorgeous.

Thank you for your review. We will take your comments on board for future reference. We do advertise the welcome pack as 'basic' and we are proud to support our local award-winning Spar shop, who provide a great service to our rural community, writing newsletters, supporting many charitable causes and helping us avoid having to shop in the larger supermarkets - a 70 mile round trip from Tomich. You did let us know upon arrival that the TV was not working but we did manage to get it back on track with not all the 100+ sky channels but enough that our housekeeper was told that you - and perhaps more importantly the children - were satisfied. We had no idea that it failed to work after that and certainly could have replaced the sky box with a standard digi box had we know, so we can only apologise for not being able to rectify that for you.

Beautiful place and wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place! The best feeling is when never gets dark at night and the light touches your face in the early morning, this has no price for me!!!!

Great location and accommodation
We are a group of hill walkers and hired two places; a woodland lodge (3 bedrooms) and a cottage in the courtyard (2 bedrooms). Each one had a double room with king-sized bed, so as a group of lads the places were OK for 5 and 3 people respectively. Both places were really well equipped. The Cottage was very spacious and had excellent modern facilities. The lodge was not as modern and spacious, but was equally well equipped, warm and cosy, and had the advantage of two toilets, and to be fair, the lodge was great value as it was excellent value per person, and would be great for a large family. The location is brill; the facilities on site are really good, particularly the swimming pool. There's a good pool table in the games room, (N.B. if you are a good player take some chalk). Unfortunately the hotel in Tomich has closed, but the Slater's in Cannich (3.5 miles away), is OK with good pub grub. There's also a well stocked Spar shop in Cannich and a pleasant tea room in Tomich.. There are ace walks direct from Tomich and plenty of challenging Munros nearby. The scenery is STUNNING! Overall this is a fab place to stay - we will be back!!!

Very comfortable stay
Firstly let me say that communication was excellent. I had lots of questions and all my queries were dealt with very efficiently. The instructions for finding the place were also very good. There were four adults staying in one of the lodges, and it was a nice touch that there was a board outside with our name on welcoming us! We were told there would be a welcome tray for us, which contained tea, coffee and some nice biscuits, however no milk! This was not a major problem as our Asda delivery arrived shortly after us. We then received a welcome visit from a lady which was also a nice touch. We had a lovely stay and the lodge was very warm and cosy, an dthe kitchen well equipped. The only thing I would say is that a second shower would be useful and a second hairdryer would also be useful. It was a bit of an operation coordinating four adults all wanting showers at the same time! The towels were lovely and big and fluffy and clean. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the bedding clean. It would also be useful to provide a torch for walking back from the village. There is no telephone signal and no wifi in the lodge, but there is wifi in the games room which is a short walk. All in all a lovely stay and we would return if in the area.

Thank you and glad that you enjoyed your stay in Tomich. We hope to be able to deliver the fibre broadband to the Lodges this autumn. There should have been milk in you welcome tray and we apologise for this oversight. The lights in the drive are now being switched on so that will light up your walk back in the autumn evenings. There are some new developments being planned for the Lodges which will solve the shower issues you experienced but possibly not for the next couple of seasons. All the best....
