Oban is only 10 miles away as a lovely town for shopping or to take your ferries to various island day trips to Mull, Lismore, Kerrera, Staffa and Iona Glencoe is just 25 miles north for its evocative heritage and magnificant climbing. The area has so many options for visitors to enjoy : creative artists, heritage around every corner, long views, fresh air you really will need to come back again. Guests have a large private garden area, with several seating areas, drying line, willow arbour, pond, mature cottage garden planting interpersed with fruit and vegetables. Sorry no pets or children.

Attractive, comfortable, spacious house fitted-out to the highest standard
We really enjoyed our stay at Kintaline House. The house was wonderfully spacious, appealingly designed, impeccably clean, and fitted out to the highest standard, especially the kitchen. It was tastefully decorated and full of the owner’s family’s books and objects d’art. We were there in August so didn’t need to use the heating much, but the heating system was fully available and working when needed for our elderly parents, and there was plenty of hot water for washing, using a number of environmentally-friendly systems. There was a proactive approach to good environmental practise and recycling. The owner was friendly and helpful throughout our visit and tactfully allowed us to have our own privacy. Outside, the secluded garden was equally impressive with corners for quiet sitting to admire the restrained plantings or bird feeders; and a larger lawn area with table and chairs and barbecue equipment. There was no farming, commercial, or hospitality noise during the day or night, just light traffic on a nearby minor road, so there was always a peaceful and calm atmosphere. By the end of the week, we felt it had been a privilege to experience Kinatline House and use it as a base to explore the beautiful and fascinating surrounding region.

Roomy and well appointed!
Tucked away in Benderloch, Kintaline House offers peace and tranquility in a serene country setting. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess, Jill. She saved the day one morning when our guests lost their ride from the airport! Kitchen was top notch, with everything you needed and more, and all in spotless condition! We loved the sunroom, especially.we had the luxury of spending a month at Kintaline, and thoroughly enjoyed our surroundings.

North Argyll is rich in heritage, creative arts, natural history and beautiful scenery. It is a photographers heaven, the light ever changing over seas, mountains, lochs and glens. There is wide range of activities, experiences and attractions in the area, please do not hesistate to ask for ideas and recommendations. Getting around
There are wonderful walks all around, and the sustrans cycle track is only a mile away. To explore further afield, down each of the unique side roads and onto the islands a car is recommended.

There is plenty of private parking at the house for a number of cars, and certainly a car gives you the best access to all the benefits of the area. The nearest train station is Connel ferry on the Glasgow - Oban line. There are taxi numbers in the digital guide. The bus stops at the village school, a mile from the house. Private pilots can fly into Oban airport which is just 3 miles away
