We've stayed at Le Logis du Pressoir several times over the last few years and it's never been anything less than wonderful and relaxing.
The Loire valley is rich in history and some beautiful scenery, visit Chinon, Saumur and Fontevraud to bring some of the local history to life.
Lisa and Mark have renovated Le Logis du Pressoir with care and attention to its surroundings so the gites are well-appointed and attractive. As in previous years, they and their son Tom (not to forget Archie!) have been excellent hosts and always happy to help out with recommendations of local places to visit that are off the tourist trail.
We spent a week in Le Petit Logis relaxing before a road trip to the south coast and would not hesitate to recommend Le Logis du Pressoir to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. We hope to return for more happy holidays.

Stunning gites with great facilities for children and charming hosts.
We had a wonderful experience at Les Lauriers and would certainly stay again. The gite was really beautifully converted and in great condition. We had everything we needed for our baby and toddler from cots to high chairs, toys to outside play areas.
Mark and Lisa made us feel most welcome and were always on hand to advise where to eat and what to see as well as organising a daily fresh croissant delivery for us!
We loved the superking bed and comfy mattress and how easily it was to entertain the children. We'd thoroughly recommend the Chateau at Villandry and the Zoo at Doue la Fontaine great days out for both children and adults.

Our property is ideally located to access and explore the Loire Valley has to offer close by:-
Walking & cycling straight from our property into beautiful surrounding countryside (official Loire Velo routes / cycle hire close by).
Horseriding, fishing and tree climbing.
Chateaux, vineyards and markets and river walks.
Shopping: 5 minute drive to local market town, offering: supermarkets, artisanal bakeries (including the runner up in the best boulangerie in France!), butchers, clothes boutiques, beauty salons, cafes, artisanal tea shop, cinema and several restaurants/eateries (including an excellent bistrot), a boutique stocking locally produced wines, beers and food products. Public swimming pools (indoor & outdoor).

This area of rural France is absolutely beautiful, however, we do recommend a car as the ideal mode of transport to enjoy your holiday to the full in the Loire Valley.

Bus to our local town, Saumur and Angers (limited timetable).
Train from local station (about 10 mins away by car/taxi) to Saumur, Angers, Tours, Nantes.
High Speed trains from Angers and Tours to the coast and Paris.
Taxis - available locally (reservation in advance.is recommended).
