Famed for its many Blue John Mines, the dramatic Winets Pass and Man Torr, Peveril Castle and the dozens of cafes. Manchester & Sheffield only 30mins by train If you fancy breaking up your rural retreat with a little shopping or night life, Chinley train station is only a 5min walk away and has direct trains to two exciting cities. My son and I stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. After a long day spent sightseeing we had a fabulous meal in the pub. Lovely service and really friendly staff.

The cottage is warm and comfortable and the real fire is an added bonus. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at the Old Hall is excellent and we fully enjoyed our evenings spent at the restaurant.

The cottage is very comfortable and nicely decorated. Good heating and shower. Lovely walks from the front door and a great selection of beers in the two local pubs. We found this a very special, friendly place and have already booked a return visit.
