The nearby village of Steni (3km) provides a further choice of coffee shop and traditional taverna for dining during the day or in the evening. In nearby Lysos (5km) you will find a well known hotel (Paradisos Hills) with excellent restaurant, a further taverna, and a few other shops. Activities in Lysos include horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and many walks and mountain bike trails for those who like to be active.Peristerona is primarily an agricultural village producing citrus-fruit vegetables, cereals, olives and almonds. The name Peristerona derives from the Greek word for dove or pigeon (peristeri). The church, St. Barnabas and Hilarion Church, has five domes on the roof arranged in the shape of a cross, a feature only seen on one other church in the island. Peristerona is always a very green village due to the lush vegetation. It all looks particularly special in winter and spring months and is ideal for photographers, artists and those who like to walk and even hike. It is also home to the famous ‘museum of Arsinoe' showcasing a stunning collection of Byzantine artefacts. Slightly further afield, you will find further amenities such as supermarkets (3km), pharmacy, petrol station, and the more extensive choice of bars, restaurants, shops etc in Polis (8km). The nearest beach is at Latchi (12km) which is well known as one of the best on the island. You can relax and sun-bathe on the golden sand by the crystal clear waters, sit in the marina and enjoy lunch eating the day's fresh catch or for the more adventurous there is a great choice of watersports available for all the family. Large Dining Area with 8 Chairs There is patio door out to pool area, which as a semicircular set of steps, 3 steps. the is a ramp end which will allow you to get into the villa. it has a very small step (not wheelchair suitable) Lounge Philips TV, USB HD 40in, Digital TV box, Samsung DVD player, Philips MP3, DVD, Playstation 3, USB player, working open fireplace, WIFI. Air-Conditioning Unit in TV Area. 2 steps up towards front door, master bedroom & cloakroom Master Bedroom 6 ft wide bed, Samsung TV 21" shower in ensuite. Guest WC Stairs up to the Bedrooms First Floor Bed 2 - Left at top of the stairs. 4"6' wide double bed, en-suite shower over bath. Patio doors out to balcony. Bed 3 - 4"6' double bed, shower in En-suite, patio door out to balcony. Large covered balcony - 2 chairs with table wrapped around beam. Around to the right side of the balcony there is a small table & 2 benches All affording amazing unobstructed views. A wooden cot and highchair are supplied free of charge on request. Other extras such as hairdryer, pool towels, music stereo, books and games including Playstation 3 are also provided as is a proper Adsl Wi-Fi connection. **The current IPTV system features most UK Sky channels (premium sports, documentaries, movies & music included) as well as many channels in German, Spanish and Russian. It also features an extensive library TV Series and Movies which is regularly updated.** DETAILS OF THE EXTERIOR Pool Terrace 6 x sun-loungers, 2 parasol & bases, 4 tables. 2 x wooden pergolas, with 2 x wooden picnic benches. To the left of the pool a covered pergola with 2 steps to the front of the villa. There is also a wicker table and 4 chairs at side of pool. Pool is 10m x 5m with both roman and metal ladders into it. The front garden has a mixture of gravel and large natural rocks which has been made into a design. There are various palm trees and cactus planted in this. the front door has one step up into it. There is also a Fitness Bench & Pool Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 0001583
