Very comfortable. We had two couples staying along with a single friend and another friend and his teen daughter who stayed for para of our visit. The house was perfect for us. Day trips to Galway and Westport were easy.

Just back from a 6 night stay here and it was lovely! The communication from Cáit, the owner was excellent and she was extremely helpful and responsive throughout. The property is spacious and immaculately clean with plenty of supplies for your stay. The house was very warm and was a joy to come home to after a long day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way coastline. The location is beautiful and, although no shops in this location itself, the next town along is a 5 minute drive and this has a large Tesco, Aldi, petrol stations and many places to eat - including take always that deliver. It’s a great location to centre yourself for exploring the North West coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way and also many other beautiful sights. If we ever revisit Co. Mayo, this property will be our go to choice. Highly recommended.

The house delivered all that was promised in its description and we were delighted with our week long stay. Cáit was a great host, answered all our queries and gave great tips and advice on activities and amenities in the area. She also provided thoughtful extras such as milk, tea, etc assisting our settling quickly in on the night of arrival. The proximity to the local gastro pub was great for meals or a drink at the weekend. Our party of 6 were always happy to return to this house to relax each night after day trips to various locations around Mayo.

This is a lovely house. Originally built for the village school headteacher, it has been in the hands of Cait and her family for quite some time and they've done a great job of doing it up. We spent four nights there and would have been happy to spend much longer.

Had an absolute fabulous time in Brickens lovely quite location with only a short spin to many locations. Nice for the kids to have an area to pay where they were safe and didn’t have to worry about traffic. House was immaculate and had everything needed there. Lovely touch having milk and tea and coffee there and fuel to light a fire. Was like a home away from home. Highly recommend

Great house, perfect for large family, Cait has thought of everything, think outdoor space could be improved, provision of comfortable garden furniture and bbq would have been useful, only drawback it’s a bit remote for local attractions, perfect location if you’re wanting to relax and not travel to far
