The beach is divided into six smaller beaches, so if you would like to steer clear of tourists and crowds who flock to Beach 1 and 2, make your way to Beaches 4 or 5 for a more private and quiet afternoon. On Tuesday evenings during July and August you can enjoy a free Jazz concert at the new RecPlex gazebo and shop at our outdoor marketplace. Explore the history of the area with a stop at the Nancy Island Historic Site. is a museum, theater and lighthouse that mark the H.M.S. Nancy's Aug. 14, 1814, battle against three American schooners. Visitors then cross a swing bridge that leads to Tower Island and tour the lighthouse, capturing panoramic views of the Nottawasaga River. Shoot a round of 18 at the Wasaga Sands Golf Course, rev your engine at the Wasaga 500 Go Karts, or drop a fishing line in the Nottawasaga River. At Rounds Ranch, a working ranch from July through October, kids can ride ponies, take a spin on a tractor, pet farm animals or go zip lining.
